This is Kazakh folk song, Kazakh music, instruments and outfit. Have you reacted to "Samaltau", if not I think you'd like it. My favorite version is from Tokyo jazz festival 2020
Thank you. Dimash had ear monitor issues and still went on to sing this gorgeous performance. So emotional, so meaningful to Dimash and his country. They are playing the dombra - the national instrument of Kazakhstan. This is a well known song in Kazakhstan telling a story of a man and his love. He was falsely arrested for treason and wrote this letter to his love after being lied to and being told that his love no longer loved him. He was released and discovered that it was not true and was reunited with his love. He was arrested again and put to death. This is a true story. Dimash is honoring this story by wearing this traditional outfit and using traditional instruments. He is not wearing this outfit to please westerners who think that he should wear T shirts. This is stunning in every way. This was Dimash's Bastau concert in 2017. Every song in this concert is fantastic. Loved your reactions.

You guys are so funny. This is a fan favorite song. In New York it was very moving. You can see if you watch it from a fan cam. You get to see who he is as a person which to me is very important. He was expressing how he dreamed of singing this song in a big concert in New York since he was 15 or so. He was appreciative and when a sold out audience from I believe 44 different countries who flew in for this concert started singing the song with him in Kazakh, you see the tears in his eyes. He thought nothing of getting on his knees and bowing to the fans. We have too many celebrities that think we owe them everything. He is opposite. He was raised to acknowledge he did not get to where he is without a lot of help. I hope you can check out Ikanaide which he sang in Japanese. Just Dimash singing in a studio filmed for the Tokyo Jazz Festival. In the studio due to freaking covid.
Appreciate you Laura. Wish we could see Dimash live. That would be crazy. He absolutely comes across as a good human being. I respect that so much. Ikanaide will probably be next song we do from him. We will see you in that video soon 😃
This is the closest he ever came to breaking down on stage, at the end. He sang a beloved song to his own countrymen with a respect and honor that staggered them. More importantly, they recognized his brief head to the floor Muslim gesture of prayer at the end, and that authentic piety, be they religious or not, was what had them talking for months, grand vocals aside. They knew it was spontaneous, honest and truly respected him for it. Good to see you guys !
You guys are fun. Not everyone will love Dimash - you have to have a certain intelligence and sensibility to connect with his music. Can’t turn my husband or my daughter on to Dimash - their loss. As a person he is humble, kind, generous, intelligent, wise, loyal, funny, family oriented, patriotic, talented beyond belief. This performance is at his first large scale solo concert in his home country after his success on The Singer show in front of 30,000 of his countrymen and fans from all over the world. A dream come true for the then 22 year old. Dimash turns 28 in May this year. 🙏🏻🇦🇺
Esse Concerto foi incrível! Música folck Cazaque maravilhosa! Instrumentos músicas folclóricos incríveis, como a Bombra, Kobys e outros. Músicos espetaculares! Dimash simplesmente espetacular! ! 👏🏼👏👏👏🏻👏🏿👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽♥️♥️🎶🎶🇧🇷🇧🇷
Hello, gentlemen, his outfit is kazakh traditional. It's a Kazakh folk song. To me, it's one of the most beautiful songs Dimash ever sang. I'm glad to see you.💛
I think this is one of his most emotional and beautiful performances. You really need to react to war and peace from his digital concert and akainaide from Tokyo jazz festival. Nice reaction 👍
Hello , this is a wonderful Kazakh song , the instrument is Dombra , and Dimash wears a typical Kazakh costume . If you notice, his ear monitor didn't work, he waved, but nothing, so he sang without them. For those things Dimash is a great . His voice, his whole range is great, but I love his middle voice. I hope you react to "Ikanaide" it's sublime.
Thank you so much for your reaction! This song is one of my favorites. I will be waiting for your reaction on Icanaide. A very beautiful song. I think you'll like it.👍👍👍💖💖💖
Dimash is singing a song composed of the words in a letter of a famous dissident Kazakh poet to his wife, having been told she'd found another man, while locked up in a Stalinist prison, where he died of starvation, torture and neglect. He is wearing traditional Kazakh honorific dress clothing. Thank you gentlemen !
Her name was Zuleikha Kurmanbaykizi, and his nickname for her was “Daididau.” Distant cousins and teenage sweethearts, they had been married off to other people by their parents, as was customary in their day. Only after they both became widowed at a young age were they able to build a life together. We will never know whether it was sheer cruelty or just a tactic to demoralize a political prisoner, but fact is that when Zuleikha was unable to visit him for an extended period, Magzhan’s jailers told him that his wife had given up on him and was living with someone else , Which was a lie.
There were 2 performances in 1. The fist one was Adai, a kazahk folk composition played with dombra. The second one was Daididau, a kazahk song. For a long time, it was believed that Daididau was a Kazakh folk song. But as it comes, the piece of music was written by Kazakh poet Magzhan Zhumabayev, who used to call his beloved wife Zylikha - Daididau. It could be written in 1930.
👍 the Dears will have told you what this instrument is, what this song is about, why the costume... In this video, we are in Kazakhstan, in Bastau, in June 2017, just after its success in China. This is his first solo concert in his country. Dimash is very proud of it and very aware of his responsibility as an artist. This song is very well known in Kazakhstan. It is first of all a poem. See how emaciated and moved he is. A lot of work to honor his audience. I am delighted and honored for Dimash that you all 3 appreciate this work. This is the greatest reward to the artist that you can do. Because he put his whole heart into it, and because it's music from his culture. FYI, Dimash is not only singing, he is also music. He plays about ten instruments, and if he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, he learns English, a little Chinese, but strives to honor other cultures by singing in the languages of origin of the songs. Good continuation and greetings from France
Good observation. The song is set to a poem documenting a true story of a Kazakh hero fighting for Kazakh independence toward the latter part of the Csarist period, when Kazakhstan was conscripted as a vassal state of Csarist Russia.
The dombra, also known as dombyra (Kazakh: Uzbek: dombira, Bashkir: ) is a long-necked Kazakh, Uzbek and Bashkir lute and a musical string instrument. The dombyra shares certain characteristics with the komuz and dutar, such as its long, thin neck and oblong body shape. It is a popular instrument mostly among Turkic communities in Central Asian countries such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan Turkey and Afghanistan.
Thank you! I just subscribed in hopes that you will react to MORE, More, MORE Dimash performances! Next, his recent “Ikanaide” please? He sings in Japanese for the first time (his 13th language to sing in). Japanese reactors have said not only that his pronunciation is perfect, but his emotions in this are also consistent with Japanese culture. Dimash SPEAKS Kazakh and Russian fluently, and is becoming more fluent in English. The other 10 languages he sings in he doesn’t know we’ll. He learns the pronunciation phonetically; translates (while learning) into Kazakh to understand the meaning so he can attach the appropriate emotions in the right place. Then puts it all together with the music. Imagine doing all that within a week (for The Singer episodes) and delivering a perfect performance!
Definitely like this look over the green screen. I can also say I like watching your reactions because (unlike many, many other reaction channels) you don't go 'Oooh' and 'Wow' over just anything. Authentic!
I think you were a bit disrespectful to his outfit, he was doing a beautiful Kazakh song, he was showing you his culture, beautiful song. The instrument is a Dombra.
The outfit wasn’t doing it for me.. wasn’t disrespectful just didnt like the outfit.. it is okay to not like something.. if your Jamaican friend cooks you a curry goat, and you dont like to eat goat.. is it disrespectful to say.. “ i dont want to eat the curry goat” ??? Just not feeling it.. appreciate him doing and showing off his culture, but I dont like the outfit
You Stopped way too much...this performance is incredible. Glad he is wearing such an incredibly intricate traditional regalia...totally unlike a very boring black tee...🤩
Hi👋 as always it was a great reaction from you guys but please next time don’t wait the dears that long😌 this was his first solo concert. I recommend you to watch Daybreak from the same concert.
The Dombra is a folk musical instrument widely used in Central Asia. It is made of wood and has a pear-shaped body with a long neck (only in Kazakhstan with frets) to which two gut strings are attached. The dombra can be rightly called the queen of Kazakh instruments since the XIX-th century. Dombra can be met in each yurta; it was referred to as one the most necessary and obligatory things in the life of Kazakhs. One of the greatest dombra players was the Kazakh folk musician and composer Kurmangazy Sagyrbayuly, who had a great influence on the development of Kazakh music culture, his musical composition 'Adai' is popular in Kazakhstan and abroad. Although Kazakh musical instruments resemble those belonging to other tribes of the Central Asian ethnic group, they have their peculiarities dictated by national traditions. Today the dombra is a national symbol of the Kazakhs and Dimash said every Kasacian child learns this instrument. In many legends the heroes of successfully made use the ability to 'communicate without words: 'In spite of his father's prohibition the khan's son secretly went hunting. He met a herd of kulans and wounded the leader. Infuriated, Lame Kulan killed the youth with a stroke of the hoof. After waiting in vain for the return of his son from hunting, the khan declared that anyone who approached him with that estirtu (bad news) would be executed by pouring molten lead into the mouth. No one dared for a long time until an old dombrist (a person who plays the dombra) attempted. The sorrowful tune of the kyui was able to send this tragic message across to the khan. He ordered that the molten lead be poured into the dombra. That was how the opening in the upper sounding board of this musical instrument came about.'
imagine how a singer spends decades of his life perfecting the high notes for a guy to come and say he doesn't like it when you do the high notes it's a joke hahahaha
So you are saying you like everything that everyone has ever perfected?? Every artist you like? Every comedian you like? Every dish from a famous popular chef you like? Its called an opinion Davi💯👍🏼
Lol lol 😆 Jason you don't like his outfit !!? Lol his wearing the Aladdin suit 😆.... By the way he sounds great ! He has a beautiful voice , and it sounds like he is singing mandarin oh I could be wrong , it also sounds like Arabic dialogue , or the language of Arabic or something ! N thanks guys for sharing this I really enjoyed watching this thanks again ! 👍👍👍💙💙💙
❤ Great review, thank you! Dimash is wearing a traditional robe of Kazakhstan called a Shapan. They are all handmade and in many styles and colors. I thought you might like to know the lyrics of the song Daididau, which is a true story. DAIDIDAU I lift my pen to write to you my beloved. Your complexion is as beautiful as the full moon. Every time I think of you, my love, my lifeless heart awakens with passion. Ah, Daididau, aye. My lifeless heart awakens with passion. Are you determined to leave me? Our blissful past is but a distant memory. Remember our solemn vow to each other. To whom shall I divulge my sorrow? Ah, Daididau, aye. To whom shall I divulge my sorrow? Ah, Daididau, aye. To whom shall I divulge my sorrow? Daididau, aye. Your complexion is as beautiful as the full moon. Ah, Daididau, aye. To whom shall I divulge my sorrow? To whom shall I divulge my sorrow?
You have no clue as to what you are talking about annie🤣🤣🤣but we appreciate the suggestion.. and appreciate you watching with us.. stay safe young lady
Giving information and giving your opinion as if its fact are 2 different things… we read all comments.. if you give a fact about dimash like he plays 10 instruments, then thats great.. if you give an opinion like “ he is the greatest singer, and if you dont like this song it’s because you dont know music” that is ridiculous 💯
If you guys prefer Dimash singing in his baritone and tenor ranges only, there are plenty of songs to choose from. Fan favorites will almost always contain songs where he uses his entire range so you might check this list of songs with no soprano range. Makhabbat Ber Magan (Give Me Love) in Kazakh, My Swan solo version (music video on his channel) in Kazakh, Moonlight Mother in Chinese, Only You in Chinese, Couldn't Leave in (perfect) English (theme for Chinese TV series), Omir Oter (music video in Kazakh), Only You in Chinese, Battle of Memories in Chinese (theme for movie), Durdaraz in Kazakh, Kieli Meken in Kazakh, Samaltau in Kazakh (Tokyo Jazz Festival version is gorgeous but the 2021 version is pretty spectacular), Qairan Elim 2021 in Kazakh (also spectacular). There are many more of his songs with no very high notes but this list points out that your comments about Dimash ALWAYS throws in soprano notes is very incorrect. He crafts each song to be artistically perfect for the music and story of the song. Personally I adore Dimash's soprano voice as I usually hate hearing most female sopranos due to their screechy tones and jagged vibrato that grate on my ears. Dimash's soprano notes fall beautifully on my ears and sound angelic. But I do understand that many males find that listening to a man sing soprano is very uncomfortable therefore the above selection of songs that are more suitable to your tastes. All are beautiful songs.
Kazakhstan, a beautiful country with a painful past. The Kazakhs fought constant battles to defend their land. Severe famine took the lives of millions. Western colonial expansion took away their independence. Poet and teacher Magzhan Zhumabayev enlightened his people on freedom and modernization. Under a repressive regime, he was arrested and jailed for conspiracy in 1926. While in prison, Magzhan was mistakenly informed that his wife had left him. Which was a lie. This is when he penned the poem Daididau. He was set free and reunited with his wife in 1936. But only to be arrested again in 1937 and was executed in 1938. (His wife was Zylikha - Daididau) "Young people, don't forget the country which lost its land and suffered for two centuries" MAGZHAN ZHUMABAYEV Kazakhstan declared their Independence on December 16, 1991. It is the most prosperous country in Central Asia.

After the "Singer" series ended, the Kazakhstan government were so impressed that they donated Dimash's first solo concert which was called "Bastau" - whole concert - th-cam.com/video/4x-DIU41RGM/w-d-xo.html Daididau is a poem written in prison by Maghzhan Zhumabayev, a true story. The poet had just been informed that his wife left him, and this song was his reply. He called his wife Daididau - it could be derived from 'дедім айдай ау' - the moon-like. But it was actually a false information, a way to torture him and others that were arrested for conspiracy. He saw her again but only for a short time. He was executed in 1938. This song is well known and very important for the kazakh people. The stage costume is based on the traditional coat, called Shapan. Here, a video with the story behind this song - th-cam.com/video/tOs7rkn36L0/w-d-xo.html Daididau I pick a pen and wrote a letter to you my beloved Your complexion is beautiful as the full moon Every time I think of you, my lovely, My lifeless heart awakens with passion Oh, Daididau, My lifeless heart awakens with passion Are you determined to leave me? Sorry but I have to say this .Don't they educate you Americans anything in schools. About other cultures and countries. We in the UK have a lot better education with high IQ, which Americans do not seem to have.
What a rude comment, Molly B. As an American, albeit one with subpar education and intelligence according to you, I would think that a highly educated UK resident like yourself would use the language of your own country better than you exhibited in your response. I love Dimash probably as much as you do, but I think comments like yours toward reactors are antithetical to Dimash's own behavior.
@@marthahazen4670 Well before they sit there and insult Dimash's traditional clothing , which I must say Dimash is very proud of is rude to me . It is also true in USA the education is not high . You think you know Dimash and what he is thinking, I don't think so . I am Turkic and I can tell you we love our traditional clothing and our culture it has been around for 1000s of years .This is what Dimash is all about to show the world his culture ,it is not about money or fame but his country he loves so much.
Really. Russian Russian language, world history, history of Kazakhstan, Russian literature, English, all subjects are studied in Kazakhstan from 0 to 100 percent. World geography, we know all the countries of the world, flags, resources, cities, capitals, holidays, cultures, religions of different peoples. I am shocked by foreigners who do not know where Kazakhstan is located. They don't even know his name. Kazakhstan has more than 20-century history. I'm shocked. Sometimes I think, is it really only in Kazakhstan that they study world history and geography?

He was raised to acknowledge he did not get to where he is without a lot of help. I hope you can check out Ikanaide which he sang in Japanese. Just Dimash singing in a studio filmed for the Tokyo Jazz Festival. In the studio due to freaking covid.
Appreciate you Laura. Wish we could see Dimash live. That would be crazy. He absolutely comes across as a good human being. I respect that so much. Ikanaide will probably be next song we do from him. We will see you in that video soon 😃
Hola Dimash tiene una voz asombrosa y esta cansion es de uno de sus conciertos los cuales son ESPECTACULARES....
Thanks for watching Blanca
This instrument is called Dombra!!! He is singing in Kazakc.
Hey Patricia!! Thanks hat had to be a big emotional moment for Dimash. And despite all of it he was still AMAZING.
Gracias por sus reacciones a Dimash el mejor cantante del mundo y de todos los tiempos, su hermosa voz es alucinante
Thank you for the great reaction guys.
Dimash is truly amazing. More please.

Appreciate you watching. Costa Rica is beautiful!
Hello, gentlemen, his outfit is kazakh traditional. It's a Kazakh folk song. To me, it's one of the most beautiful songs Dimash ever sang. I'm glad to see you.💛
Hey Pordy! Thanks for letting us know about song. It is a beautiful song ! Glad to see you are doing good. Stay safe
His out fit is a traditional one from his country… This is his first solo concert, his dream.
He’s just Incredible
I really liked it
Glad you enjoyed!
7:00 looks like his in ear monitor malfunctioned. He sings without them, still pitch perfect.
Incredible by him !
DIMASH VOCE UNICA 👑👑👑👑👑❤❤❤❤🇮🇪🇮🇪
😄
I think this is one of his most emotional and beautiful performances. You really need to react to war and peace from his digital concert and akainaide from Tokyo jazz festival. Nice reaction 👍
Hello , this is a wonderful Kazakh song , the instrument is Dombra , and Dimash wears a typical Kazakh costume . If you notice, his ear monitor didn't work, he waved, but nothing, so he sang without them. For those things Dimash is a great . His voice, his whole range is great, but I love his middle voice. I hope you react to "Ikanaide" it's sublime.
Totalmente de acuerdo 👍👍👍
Dimash's concert in Bastau, Kazakhstan. Dimah already packs large concert venues and stadiums.
Legend
Thank you so much for your reaction! This song is one of my favorites. I will be waiting for your reaction on Icanaide. A very beautiful song. I think you'll like it.👍👍👍💖💖💖
We will be doing that one soon. Thanks for watching. 😄
Retirn ti his home country i think very emotional beautyful kasakastan
FYI the poem and the real-life story, which it is about, refer to a later historical period - the Stalin repressions in the 1930's.

Hey Nestor. Appreciate you watching
Thanks Molly for the info. Appreciate you watching
He had a concert in new York sold out solo
Thanks for subscribing. Welcome to the family. We get some Dimash in every now and then 😎
It's a traditional kazakh dress and their instrument dombra.
Shud have had subs, it's a beautiful song.
Ikanaide is very good too!
Thanks for commenting!! Definitely going to do Ikanaide

Kazakhstan 🇰🇿🇰🇿🇰🇿
It’s a traditional Kazak instrument the dombra and every household has one It’s a traditional clothing he is wearing Great Reaction’s
Thank you !
In many legends the heroes of successfully made use the ability to 'communicate without words:
'In spite of his father's prohibition the khan's son secretly went hunting.

❤ Great review, thank you! Dimash is wearing a traditional robe of Kazakhstan called a Shapan. They are all handmade and in many styles and colors. I thought you might like to know the lyrics of the song Daididau, which is a true story.
DAIDIDAU
I lift my pen to write to you my beloved.
Thank you for sharing lyrics. What a beautiful song
The dombra is the instrument he played and the outfit is a Kazakh piece of clothing. The location and language are of Kazakhstan. Not Tibet .

READ YOUR PATRONS COMMENTS.... Somebody has to say it. If you want to know about Dimash, listen.
Tengo el mismo problema con las voces de las sopranos. Los únicos agudos que tolero son los de DQ

(His wife was Zylikha - Daididau)
"Young people, don't forget the country which lost its land and suffered for two centuries"
MAGZHAN ZHUMABAYEV
Kazakhstan declared their Independence on December 16, 1991. It is the most prosperous country in Central Asia.

After the "Singer" series ended, the Kazakhstan government were so impressed that they donated Dimash's first solo concert which was called "Bastau" - whole concert - th-cam.com/video/4x-DIU41RGM/w-d-xo.html
Daididau is a poem written in prison by Maghzhan Zhumabayev, a true story. Here, a video with the story behind this song - th-cam.com/video/tOs7rkn36L0/w-d-xo.html
Daididau
I pick a pen and wrote a letter to you my beloved
Your complexion is beautiful as the full moon
Every time I think of you, my lovely,
My lifeless heart awakens with passion
Oh, Daididau,

Please, keep Disney out of it. :/
