Great video. Very helpful. Our NIPT came back 82% for Monosomy x. Our GC didn’t give us much hope for a false positive. Stating it’s the best test and fairly accurate. Only seen a few cases in years where it is wrong. Dashed our hopes. That along with our older age (both 39)…looking grim. Amnio set in a few weeks
Thank you for sharing. The waiting and uncertainty can be really challenging to cope with as you wait for more definitive information with the amnio. In case this may be helpful, I wrote a blog on managing the feelings that come with unexpected news - allay-life.com/coping-after-unexpected-news/ Sending you light during this time!
Hi madam this from india in this video time 7:438:09 this condition is in our case done mam, actually twins are carried but in tht one twin we reduce it at 15th week now during 20th week take quadruple test screening in that Mom's AFP id 8.97 showing so they indicating risk area for neural tube defects (NTD)..so they suggest for TIFFA Scan is it OK madam pls suggest us
I got nothing at all. No fraction, no gender, no PPV, no nothing. Just “CNV (copy number variant) possible on 21. Cannot determine origin, possible normal variant or confined to placenta. Cannot retest.”
I would recommend you speak to a genetic counselor about the meaning of this result and options available. If you do not have access to a genetic counselor, let me know and I may be able to help.
Mine seems 98% all in 90% range for all three… all my other children are beautiful and fine?! I’m so confused (diffferent dad he’s healthy though). I’m scared
It’s understandable to feel scared when you receive unexpected news about your baby on ultrasound. The majority of pregnancies with NT greater than the 95th % are born healthy. I would recommend you speak to a genetic counselor or high risk OB provider about your ultrasound further and what genetic testing is available to you.
@@allaylife turns out the wording was just very simple basic and straight forward so I did not read it correctly! Called they said baby is fine, I tested negative on all three.. thank you
My panorama NIPT showed 1:10 of trisomy 18. I have done amniocentesis and it has shown normal fetus karyotype. NIPT was false positive
Thank you for sharing. False positive NIPT results can occur for many different reasons.
