Len I appreciate how you explain things and that you don't rush through the explanations.
No reason to hurry. People can always speed up the video playback. Thank you for watching!
I love using that machine. I feel like it's one exercise that I can really push my quads as hard as possible.
The way I've started using the machine is that I'll pick a weight that I can do with 12 reps, then I increase the weight for 10 reps, then increase for 8 reps, then increase for 6 reps. Then I'll back it down 2 notches and do as many as I can. Then back down 2 more notches and as many as I can, then down again. On the last rep I'll hold it extended as long as I can. My quads are literally done after that.
Working out does so much for us and these machines have great versatility. Yes, your legs can get bigger, but it also helps us longterm to get around better or lessen injuries because you're putting in the effort now. Keep watching and thanks for commenting.
That’s a great way to get after it !
Pyramid up and then back down is awesome for exhausting those muscles.
When I’m fresh I find that works really well, but if it’s my 3rd/4th exercise for quads I find that the pyramid drains me of energy and by the heaviest set i don’t get as many reps as if I started there on my first or second set. Thoughts ?
