    Nice game - I do like the slower pace, which gives you more time to explain your thinking and make better moves. It also allows me to play along with you in trying to figure out what should come next.

    Brilliant video. Reinforces our knowledge of the Pirc that we learned in your previous videos and the 15/10 format gives time to explain. Thank you!

    Because of you teaching the Pirc and Czech Pirc, I've went from 1400 to 1800 in 2 weeks. And get this, I've done that only playing as black. I wanted to get better as black so that's all I've played. It's now my favorite opening. I've beat a few 2000's as black playing the Czech Pirc.
    Really appreciate the lessons. You're AWESOME! Keep the Pirc videos coming...👍

    Seeing you get these positions from the opening almost makes me want to play the Pirc.
    On a more serious note, totally agree about the point of bringing opponents on to your home ground, I think many players underestimate that!

    Great Video, Thanks. I am much more comfortable with the longer time control and calm explanations of the candidate moves. I have time to consider what I would do in most situations in games like this. Thanks again!

    Hello Robert. What do you think about Nxe4 after 0-0, 0-0 that happened in the game? I always go for it when they have bishop on c4 and engine shows it as brilliant move. I usually get nice games with it too

  • @kriszed5329
    @kriszed5329 ปีที่แล้ว

    Robert, how do you play the Pirc against a bishop opening?
    I often have trouble with 1.e4,d6 2.Bc4, Nf6 3.d3,g6. They usually retreat their bishop to a2 after moving theh pawn and it annoys the hell out me for the rest of the game

  • @desmundreid3368
    @desmundreid3368 ปีที่แล้ว

    This was a great lesson. And the time control helps a lot to breakdown the reasons behind the moves. Also, could you play a Sicilian with the Black pieces with this time control?

  • @saintgerantennis8446
    @saintgerantennis8446 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    It's amazing how well you know this and how little the White opponents typically know about it. And this is even a quite frequent line.

  • @antonpirulero9343

    More czech pirc! Is it possible?

  • @kriszed5329
    @kriszed5329 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice video! Here is a question, would you swap a queen for 2 rooks if there were other minor pieces on the board (equal on both sides)? Bishops and especially knights have this way of getting to my rooks. Also, if a king is exposed the queen can play a lot of checks and grab pawns. In the situation in this game, it does look good for the 2 rooks VS Queen, but there are many times when it is not. Just my experience, haha!
