The scene between Yang and Raven has always been one of my favorites. I love this big show Raven puts on. She clearly talking like she's giving a speech in front her crew, projecting her voice for not just Yang but the rest of the people there. Raven knows Yang's been searching for her, so she treats it like a reward. All the fanfare, the offer to even stay the night and she'll have her cooks whip something up. It almost feels like she's rehearsed this moment in her head a million times, that she has a script of how this encounter would go. But Yang goes off script when she reveals that she's not here for Raven, and we see Raven's demeanor change from attempting to joke with Yang ("Well you certainly finished it"), to almost sort of hurt ("Family. Only coming around when they need something"). She then even tries a different approach, telling her that Oz is shady and that Yang shouldn't get mixed up in all this big picture stuff. That she should stay with Raven and her bandits ("Maybe you're already where you belong"). It's so fascinating to me, and why Raven is one of my favorite characters (more on that later, I'm sure). Like, there's hints that she wants Yang in her life, she's just so wrapped up in her "strong live, weak die" mentality BS. Then there's how ironic Raven's semblance is. It depends on the people she's bonded with, the people she cares about, and it can take her directly to them. Irony at it's finest considering she keeps running from those people. Also, that Freezerburn reunion is so sweet. I love how Weiss literally just jumps into Yang's arms and her feet are dangling off the ground. It's so cute and makes me cry.

Raven is just Yang's fast travel point
