I typically avoid outting myself like this in TH-cam comments cause it makes me uncomfortable and idk, the world isn’t always chill, but I’m also afab (assigned female at birth; aka biologically female) but I present as male and use male pronouns. But when it comes to my autism, being biologically female is very relevant because we are naturally better maskers. My personal theory is that animals evolved to have females be better at picking up on social things than males since they raise the young and need to be able to pick up on the nonverbal cues of their young to provide for them. Regardless of what the reason is though, autism presents a bit differently in us and we’re massively under diagnosed. Most of us aren’t diagnosed until adulthood, when we’ve figured out something isn’t quite right and have to seek out someone ourselves for a diagnosis. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 21, and at that point I’d had suspicions for awhile. Its so freeing to finally figure the truth though! Yeah lot of people complain in comments about that, but I think what they mean is when comics talk about "the process" too much, cuz usually that's annoying (unless it's Uncle Joey). All the other comedy stuff I love.. stories about the road, other comics, club managers, agents, auditions, bombing, etc. is great and what made stand up comedy podcasts blow up in the first place imo.
@@imemberberry No what made them blow up is a comedian’s wit, talking about the industry would be enjoyable no matter which industry, if the person is entertaining like a comic. Anyway I for one think when they get imaginative/playful, it’s the best, highest vibe stuff. I get people’s annoyance with talking about things that the comedians enjoy because it’s a shared experience (industry stuff), but it’s an enjoyment kind of like an inside joke, which is not the best podcast material. (Unless of course we’re in on it.) Anyway too much of it is just… It can lose the public a little. The process/inspiration part, about writing, is my favorite part (I write.) But let’s be honest, industry talk is not what made comedians the podcast kings.
Also interesting to note, the best comics are not always the best at conversational podcast comedy, (Chappelle, Burr) and the best podcast comedians are not always the best stand ups (Sorry Theo, and Ricky) They’re all way better than average at both, though. I find conversations to be just, great stuff, and in this age where so many people, (sadly, especially the younger ones) are anti-social, it fills a hole.
Congrats to Rick for working through his nervousness and calibrating into the pocket. You could tell he really wanted this to go well, and he stepped up to the plate.

Okay, this is why I love the editing choices. 53:10 is one of the hardest laughs I’ve ever had from this show. This goddamn quick cut closeup to Bill after Rick says “Scientology”, and that little lip smack, before cutting back to Rick. I don’t know why that got me so hard, but I lost it and had to go back to rewatch two more times before I could continue with my life. Edit: five times.
What a great podcast release day. Just finished watching Louie on Theo's show, and now come to find out, this episode was dropped while I was listening to that. Back-to-back laugh fests.
It was giant for Theo and I think Louis gave Theo a big boost of confidence when louis said that when he agreed to do the cast he hadn't actually heard any of Theos comedy so the night before he actually played one of Theos album's and was legitimately blown away by how funny he is and how his brain works to the extent that he was repeating his favorite bits to Theo from his show. Louis was genuinely interested in how Theos mind works and Theo tried to act like it was no big deal but you could tell that it was a big deal to get a vote of confidence from a peer like louis CK. He's one of this generations comedy royalty along with Burr and Chappelle. These guys are what this gen aspires to accomplish
Did anyone else notice how much more perfectly the brown blanket was tucked into the couch for Bill as opposed to every other guest. That just shows how much he thinks of him cuz knowing how my OCD is it prob took him a good 15-20 min to make that exactly right haha

just found glassman on a short. i discovered the autism thing around 3 years ago for myself and have known about OCD since my early 30s. seeing him sit here and knowing how his mind calculates everything really hits home. it helps have more compassion for myself when i see someone else really trying that also doesn’t want to just say “oh it’s my autism/ocd” he’s legit funny and doing great, but i can see all the nervousness that likely others don’t see, bc he’s really great as masking it. it costs so much tho. the preacher thing he did with his family is literally a thing i used to do as a kid and now as an adult i want to do things like that but feel so judged, constantly, because i’m so “extra” or “cringe.” i’m hoping to find some peace in the same way he’s soaking it up from bill here. i really loved this.

Also interesting to note, the best comics are not always the best at conversational podcast comedy, (Chappelle, Burr) and the best podcast comedians are not always the best stand ups (Sorry Theo, and Ricky)
They’re all way better than average at both, though.
I had a little tear run down my face each time Burr laughed and/or complimented you. 🥰
The way Bill literally holds his side when he laughs is so 😍
If you’re here from the short that you just watched it starts at roughly 45:00
You’re a legend
oh my god thank you
Tks but wtf
That’s it?
❤
Lmao I love the honesty on calling him out for coughing 🤣 “nobody says they’re contagious, everyone always says oh i’m fine” bro the bounce pass right into dude’s knee had me crying laughing the intensity is great “are you fkin nuts”
“I’m SO smart, name any 2 numbers” I am absolutely crying! 😂😂 I love Rick!
Mind blowing that Rick could think this was anything but a giant win! This was so good that MY arms are tired.
I can't belive that he laughed at the "boy are my arms tired" joke. its my favorite one every time
Explain this, I’m lost
this is the first episode i've seen. i come for bill burr but definitely staying for ricky savage. this was the best episode of any podcast that i've been bill burr in and that was only because you were such a great person to converse with. ❤
Thank you. And welcome to TYSO!
@@rickglassman Hey Rick, first 🕰too. TYSO sounds like the stock ticker for Tyson 🥩🍖Foods.
Since I am replying to likely a trusted channel manager, should I address thee as T.rick?

The naked presentation of Rick's inner feelings had me so introspective. Thank you for the space to empathise with you, I feel better for it.
3 minutes in and I am already having a hard time containing my joy!!
I think this is going to be the first podcast that I actually sit down and watch like a premier movie. Every single podcast I’m a fan of has only been audio only up until this very moment. Good job Rick.
This is the only podcast I don't just listen to. You gotta watch TYSO or you aren't doing it right imo
@@SmickyD yeh I've tried listening to it but I feel like I'm missing out on so much
@@timj4601 I did once and then realized I took my phone out of my pocket to see what they were doing like 10 times in 5 minutes so I decided to wait.
Easily 1/3 of the funny is in body language and facial expressions, especially in the awkward silences 😄 then of course there's the animation... definitely a must watch.
"Smart people being silly" is the perfect description for TYSO
I never watch podcasts but this one is keeping my adhd under control you guys are such a good combo
Definitely didn't keep mine in check but I did enjoy it immensely over the three separate parts it took me to finish! Hahaa
It's like I'm fidgeting and standing up and meandering vicariously through Rick
Man, I love how every comedian walks in Rick’s house & they all instantly start trying to calm Rick’s nerves and let him know they’re comfortable and happy. Great people.
Other than Bobby.. Bobby Lee has his own issues that he has to deal with 😂😂
Bobby is a gremlin lmao
We need more juice on podcasts, we all love juice
I’ve only just found this podcast and why is there FOUR Bobby lee ones and only one bill burr. He needs to come back these dudes get on so well
Ricky has met his match! Couldn’t wipe the smile off my face. I’m so proud and LOVED this episode 😄
Two of my all time favorites!!! Thank you Bill Burr for taking your shoes off with the Glass!!! 🙌🙌🙌
Really enjoying this...Bill is so chilled ..so cool seeing him so relaxed, Rick is so likeable .I could listen to this for hours.
I really dont understand how a human being could be this effortlessly funny JUST by being himself. You are amazing.
Burr is so dedicated to his sponsors that he even pushes them as soon as other show hosts leave the room.
This is the best feature of Bill’s on any podcast ever, loved the two of you together!!
As a Rick fan since 2020, this makes me so happy to see him crush and interview like this!
"boy are my arms tired" "are you sitting down?" Bill laughs at all of the old bits.
Bill Burr is top 3 comedians alive
This is the second time I've watched this pod . There is something so endearingly lovley about watching Bill on a couch with his white socks being so comfortable. This is amazeballz. Vulnerable and adorable
I’ve waited since I first heard TYSO for this pairing, my heart is full and my belly will ache from laughter. Yes!!!
I just finished listening to this on Spotify as I couldn't wait for the video, and then I saw this...🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
This is exciting. I often say that Rick is like the Bill Burr of comedy
And boy are his arms tired
Bill burr is the bill burr of comedy lol
@@Sean-zc3iv no way not baby boy bill burr he's a podcaster not a comedian
You do say that
@@jm6406 he’s the podcaster of comedians
I keep coming back to this episode. Its so damn good. Not many people make Bill laugh but the chemistry between these two is legendary.
Hands down the silliest I’ve ever seen Burr on someone elses podcast and I think that says a lot about Rick’s comedic energy
I’ve watched a shit ton of Burrs stuff and never seen him this laid back full of smiles. Rick brings out the giggles in burr or finally therapy is working for him
My shoes are off and I'm here for this. Love the work Rick!
Honestly this is one of the best podcasts I've seen in years. Gotta love Ricky, hope he's on the loose more often.
I feel like this could have gone bad a few times but instead it went brilliantly. I loved this
Dude, I am so happy Bill came here. Rick has great energy and is so fun to watch. I hope that we get to see both of them together again.
To see bill play with Rick and vibe with him and like his bits and jokes was so great such a funny episode
Fucking hell im in tears, thanks for pointing it out
One of the best podcast episodes of any podcast, seriously good job Rick! This one was more than just fine.
This episode is lightening a bottle. Can’t wait to see Burr back on in the future you guys work so well together.
Bill Burr with pneumonia is kind of of silky smooth. I like his cool calm voice. These two together make me so happy. 😂😍
Every time Burr coughed was like another inside joke. Classic.
What a great podcast release day. Just finished watching Louie on Theo's show, and now come to find out, this episode was dropped while I was listening to that. Back-to-back laugh fests.
same
It was giant for Theo and I think Louis gave Theo a big boost of confidence when louis said that when he agreed to do the cast he hadn't actually heard any of Theos comedy so the night before he actually played one of Theos album's and was legitimately blown away by how funny he is and how his brain works to the extent that he was repeating his favorite bits to Theo from his show.
Was wild feeling into Rick’s nerves a lot of this podcast. Was cool to see because it reminds me that you don’t die in these situations - even if it feels extremely uncomfortable. Sounds silly but as a sensitive person I really valued this episode. Super funny when Rick would find himself. ❤️✨I hope to come out in March! This podcast has grown to be my favorite.
1:10:52 “What’s not fair is the hand we’re dealt. And sometimes some people need more crates” is a profound statement
Based
Yeah but its a good mindset to 'pull urself up by ur boot straps'. Makes me try even in shitty situation. Then i look outside myself and try to help my neighbor
Whos the dude humming beside him? Whys he doing that when Ricks making his point? Whats the context of the clip?
I need five crates, so I can build a sturdy blanket fort and refuse to leave it. Four to build the walls, and one to bribe (ehem; make...MAKE) a friend with.
Fire Episode.
Bill was killing out the gate. Good back and forth between the two.
Rick, run us that 2.0!
This was so entertaining. I feel like you figured him out and excelled so well and naturally in compelling conversation. Didn’t want it to end!
Got super excited when I saw the audio and I’ve been waiting all day at work for the video 🎉
just found glassman on a short. i discovered the autism thing around 3 years ago for myself and have known about OCD since my early 30s. seeing him sit here and knowing how his mind calculates everything really hits home. it helps have more compassion for myself when i see someone else really trying that also doesn’t want to just say “oh it’s my autism/ocd” he’s legit funny and doing great, but i can see all the nervousness that likely others don’t see, bc he’s really great as masking it. it costs so much tho.
the preacher thing he did with his family is literally a thing i used to do as a kid and now as an adult i want to do things like that but feel so judged, constantly, because i’m so “extra” or “cringe.” i’m hoping to find some peace in the same way he’s soaking it up from bill here. i really loved this.
I just found this and im in love. Got my subscription man. Ive got alot of catching up to do and i cant wait!
