    Tension is okay. We don't just stop when it gets uncomfortable. As a west African listening to this speech, I wondered how my ancestors could still hold religious text as sacred when those same texts were used to affirm such inhuman acts against them. They lived in the hate but still loved the text. I don't think I could have been that resilient. I am grateful I listened till the end. We have to be humble to hear others speak indeed. Thank you so much Dr. Yolanda Pierce

    Thank you for sharing and allowing greatness to radiate from you. The explanation of wrestle and conflict helps me to know that we are loved no matter what reason brought us here. I taught my children about Harriet Tubman and the underground railroad. The respect and love that I felt for her. I also admired her courage and your courage is inspiring. When the animated movies were released in early 2000's they were a comfort to our little family. We were broken hearted by abuse but still good in our Heavenly Father's eyes 💗
