I dare to do good by telling my story: I was taken out of my home at 3 years old and taken to residential school only to be almost killed there. They didn't want me thereafter, and I was taken to the Supreme Court to be made a ward of the courts. I was then handed over to the social service to be put into the foster care system. I was in the foster care system up until I was 13 years old and I was kicked out of my foster parent's place. Social service could not find another place for me, so I was put on independent living at 13 years old, soak that in. Two weeks after I was on my own, I was kidnapped, raped by a man up in the mountains, almost killed, and left for dead up in the mountains stark naked. And today I'm a filmmaker telling our story.
I love watching your channel as it gives me the opportunities to preview the huge selections of Korean movies and series available that is not always available on Netflix. Thanks for sharing.
I disagree. Everyone, guilty or not is entitled to a fair defence and a good lawyer. The lawyer is supposed to defend the defendent, even if he knows he is guilty. Not just for money, but also for the rule of law and the justice system. If lawyers stop defending people they think is guilty, or ruin their clients defense deliberetly, well. What if everyone thinks someone is guilty but the court has weak evidence or none. What if no lawyer wants to defend that person? That person will convicted innocent. Besides. The prosecution should have the evidence to convict someone. If not they should lose. Because it could lead to bad precedent. If the lawyer is unwilling to defend his client and thus the client gets convicted based on flimsy evidence. Well, more people can be convicted by flimsy evidence easily, even innocent. That is why lawyers are supposed to help them. There is a reason why everyone on trial is entitled to a defense
@@kipl8444 ur view is kinda interesting but what i understand from the op comment is tht why would a defendant still take the case if they already found so much evidence showing tht their clients r on the guilty side? Yes... it's their job as the defendant but still doing it solely for the money n trying so hard to cover up their clients wrongdoings is just.... what's the diff between those lawyers n the criminals then? Just like what the autistic girl asked in the movie whether the mc is a good guy or not....tht line gives an impact for the lawyers,, asking whether they really do it in the name of justice or for the money only.... I mean i can't imagine myself being either defendant/prosecution dude cuz it'll just makes me feel guilty once i found out the truth....n nope if ur guilty for tht certain crime u should take the punishment, not getting some good lawyer just to get away w ur own crime thts just sad/infuriating (like when u watched miracle in cell no 7/silenced)
@@atsuukorin8036 If a good lawyer gets you free, while you are guilty there are a few things that needs to be considered. First, how good was the prosecutor, how lucky were you with the jury and third how strong was the evidence? If the evidence is flimsy or not existing and the prosecution loses a case because of it against a person who is so obviously guilty that is in my opinion good. Bad for justice but good overall. If we start locking someone up based on flimsy evidence, you know what can follow? I have heard stories that if the police arrests someone, the suspect is under immens pressure, to confess even though he hasn't done it. Again as I said before, I worry about setting a precedent. Sure the lawyer can do it for money but if he is good, he does the trick, even though sometimes through shady ways. Ofcourse I oppose the lawyers who do everything for money, have you seen the rainmaker? The point I try to make which is not going well is that. People who are guilty needs to be proven guilty, the lawyers, good or wrong serve to protect him from shady things from the goverment. If we start prosecuting people based on flimsy evidence and because they look guilty or we think they are guilty. The lawyers don't care because they don't want to go against public opinion or are paid to do nothing by the goverment or smth. Or nobody wants to represents him. Well you know what can happen. 99 times it goes well. 1 time it goes wrong and an innocent person is perhaps executed because lawyers did not want to defend someone who was obviously 'guilty' or perhaps he wasn't? I have seen miracle in cell no 7, one of the best movies I have ever seen and I questioned Turkish law, though it seems it was more under military control there. Anyway it is infuriating if someone so 'obviously guilty' gets away with a crime. But instead of questioning the lawyer who has done a greaet job, you should question what went wrong in court, who prosecuted him and what evidence did they really have? Perhaps they did not have enough evidence. Perhaps the guy was really innocent? You don't know what is going on behind the scenes. Actually I am changing the subject. I stand by that every defendent needs a good defence for justice and the rule of law, now and in the future. If he hires a lawyer with a shady history who does it only for the money. Well that is his choice and the prosecution must be ready to fight a dirty game. That is how it is in courts and if you want to change it. Good Luck

This reminds me of an episode of Law and Order: SVU. I don't remember all the details, but there was a girl with some kind of autism or something and he had very acute hearing as well. And she heard a murder going on. And when she was in court as a witness the defense had accused her of not even knowing what was going on because she was hiding and couldn't see what was going on. The prosecutor had prepared several questions on cards that she gave the judge and then whispered them to where no one in the room could hear but the little girl could, and she accurately answered the questions. This proved that her account of hearing the suspect kill the person and what he said was true.
I love Jung Woo Sung, good actor and had a good personality,. His the first korean UNCHF Goodwill Ambasador so proud of him, miss seeing him acting again.❤️❤️❤️
You can't just tank your case because you don't believe it's right. That's incredibly unethical, especially when your conduct is governed by a code of ethics and your client's proper legal representation is in your hands. I'm guessing that any evidence would instantly become inadmissible and tainted and that in real life, the woman would have got away again and he would have disbarred/possible conviction.
I'd recommend being a prosecutor then- and even then you need to try and prosecute someone who you think is innocent It's rough, and you can't only do cases you believe in
As an autistic person I was very impressed by the portal in this movie, but you can become a lawyer even if you're autistic, it's an uphill battle for sure but very possible. (It's pretty hard for law schools to deny you when you have perfect grades and a 175 on the lsat)
