We we told about the hawkers and took a red bean bag from the towel dispensary and they never bothered us once. I'll give you the mosquito and fly issue but that's all over Hurghada not just the royal lagoon. We got back from a wonderful 12 day holiday yesterday and would have no issues with going there again, it was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. We absolutely loved it! Orange Island was our highlight, absolutely stunning!

You appear to have been extremely unlucky as everything was open and clean plus our room was immaculate in all honesty. Egyptian 5* is clearly not comparable to UK 5* but, fortunately for us, we didn't encounter any of the issues you were so unfortunate to find.
We did enjoy the outside areas of the hotel,sadly when we returned to the UK,we were both ill for 6-7days ,which happens to alot of people who return from Egypt. My wife is keen for us to return at some point to hopefully have a better experience and even the balance, so fingers crossed if we do ,regards Andy.

Hi, I've booked 8 nights here with my teenage daughter. Do you need a visa & if so, can you purchase this when you arrive at the airport ? As im getting mixed answers when looking online. We got 8 nights / flights/ insurance/ private taxi to the hotel, and it's £1k for us both the best deal i could find, i went with the same travel company as you

You can get a visa on arrival at the airport and they cost $25 u.s per person.you can pay in euros or Egyptian pounds however you don't get fleeced on the exchange rate if you do.we took $50 dollars with us which we got from Tesco money exchange in England before we went.The Egyptians are very pushy at the airport to make sure you have paid it.By the sounds of it you got a better deal than we did on this holiday cost,however the hotel is definitely not 5*so your best to go open minded,I would also recommend avoiding the ice in the bars if offered, have a lovely time and please let me know how you got on,I did try to be fair in my review of the place,kind regards Andy

Sorry but I have stayed here twice an I have just got a deal up for £500 for 2 weeks alinclusive including flights suitcases and extra legroom
