Try setting the blades at full low as they were designed to be used. Original concept was to plow in a circle, or at least turn at the end of each pass, go 1/2 way across desired length and then go back other way.

The blades were at the lowest by the end , I wasn’t sure at the beginning it was my first time using the plow for a garden.

These units are used all over the world ... from mowing alpine meadows to Parks with sulkies behind ...
Like any rotovation cultivation process its not an instant seed bed ... it takes time for the sods created to break down ..
This particular setup does need space to operate in ... but unless you understand that you start in the centre of your plot to be worked not one edge . You then will then be more efficient at completing your task ... at hand ...
There are plenty of guides on line also manuals produced by the Gravely company with Suggested Settings for each attachment they produce ...
I am planning to build a 60inch mowing deck for my 12hp Gravely ... ...
They are great Machines ... how ever i am looking a reduction gear for cultivation and snow blowing ...etc ???? To reduce Low ratio by 50% ...
