I got this when it won the award years ago and was pleasantly surprised. The cool white bag is definitely a bonus. I would buy it again for sure. The comment that it has rye notes but then some not-rye notes was spot on! :)
Another great episode! Don't forget to invite people to share their local whiskies with you and point out how to send them your way..... there are 100 good American whiskies for every one Canadian..... they are just not in Pennsylvania!
@counselthyself Very true from what I'm learning, and there are a lot of bottom to mid shelf bourbons that are not available in Canada. I can see why good Canadian Whiskies stay in Canada, as the total volume of Canadian Whisky is low.... but why popular inexpensive American Bourbons are not available in Canada seems strange.
@@counselthyself2591 Hey, we don't judge on price. If it's whiskey and under $35 (currently) we will review it. It's not just Canadian Whiskey we do this to. Have seen us sip and rave about Old Crow? Haha.

It's definitely my favorite Crown Royal, so far.
Crown Royal Black is another good one as well.

I really, really like this whiskey. I get cherry cough drops, not orange. This whiskey won whiskey of the year about 8-9 yrs ago.
