- We rode "The 12 Hills of Christmas" route, courtesy of the Cycling Podcast. Presenter Lionel Birnie credits "Andrew Brown" as the original creator of this route and it did not disappoint. In the main it's a relaxed ride around quiet lanes but some of the climbs pack a surprisingly stinging punch.

Love the video guys what bikes are you on please?
Thanks! Bikes are a 2014 Genesis Equilibrium Disc and Orbea Orca M30 with Zipp 303’s.
@Matthew Lister looks a great ride, how you rate the genesis
@@sweeneyTodd-de4by there’s a lot to love about it as a winter bike; the steel frame is really comfortable to ride, disc brakes good for the wet, clearance for 28mm tyres, only £340 second hand via eBay. Downsides are that it’s not the lightest and it has a lot of features the modern bikes are moving away from; mechanical brakes rather than hydro, post mount brake calipers, quick release wheels rather than thru axle.
I’ll probably keep for a bit but will likely upgrade to something lighter with hydro brakes at some point
