- Who else is covering Mamamoo like Purple Kiss? NO ONE.
Yesol is in a bunch of these clips. For those of you who don't know, she was a part of the group pre-debut but left before they announced they would be debut as Purple Kiss.
I know these aren't absolutely all of the covers they've done, but these were the ones that came to mind. Leave more in the comments if you have them and I may do a part 2 if there's enough.
I also may do a Oneus/Onewe version at some point too.
Yes I know technically Swan's version of Wind Flower isn't a cover, it's a demo/guide version. Sue me.

@@vn4934 i kind of agree with you, but the problem is that rbw treats them so poorly ! My dream would be that they stay together as a group but leave rbw to join another company (HYBE for example). Except we've seen other groups in the same scenario and it didn't end well (gfriend). So for the moment I'm really torn...
in case they ever decide to leave, i hope the next company won't be exhausting them just to keep making money. i only trusted rbvv for the reason that they let our queens get enough freedom to do whatever they want, even prioritize rest over promotions now that they've reached a certain level of career success. Some bigger companies are very restricted, and positioned to make money by all means, merch here and there, in order to keep the fans happy.
even wheein opted for a label that's new, even not bigger than rbw so it's safe to assume they're not doing it for the money or fame but their love for music.

@@KilluaZoldyck-qx7zz Yeah I get what you mean. I wish we could watch the full uncut video of it. But I appreciate Solar's efforts in promoting them with the show. She also tried to include Onewe but the show cut them out...

With Starry Night, I absolutely love how Swan began with Wheein’s part and Na Go Eun began with Solar’s part. Their voices were absolutely perfect for each part respectively!
And Yuki doing Moonbyul’s raps!!
Hopefully rbw does this girlgroup a favour by being more promotive. They did mamamoo wrong. But the fact mamamoo are considered the most inspirational seniors of the industry is truly amazing

Why does a company like RBW get such talented artists. I really really hope they can promote PK well and not make the mistakes they did with MMM. They are an insanely talented bunch of girls and I'm rooting hard for them. Hope they become very successful

that's yesol. she was a trainee with the group for a number of years but left shortly before they announced their debut. ireh and chaein were (I think) still with yg when they shot that clip. not 100% how much time was between them leaving yg and joining rbw.

I am not a plory and a hardcore moomoo, but let these girls be themselves. Let them become their own artists and people, with their own signature styles and ideas. That is exactly how they would pay the best tribute to Mamamoo
@@honeybeemoo what i meant is inject their own personal style in their dance to differentiate one from the others...your own distinct style like mamamoo did...they dance the same choreo but they inject their own distinct style in the choreo..thats why we remember each person's individuality that shines the group...do you get what i mean?
@@norasimahrahman2912 I see. Well, they are still pretty new. And they have more members compared to Mamamoo, so even if some/all of them have their distinct styles, it will take us awhile to notice them. Especially people like me who don't watch their live performances regularly will need a longer time to notice all of their personal distinct styles, if any. For me, expression wise, Dosie really stands out. She seems to be a natural, and her expressions are fierce and capturing, always on point and effortless. It reminds of Hwasa sometimes😅 I haven't watched them enough to notice the others. But one thing though, Pk are a 4th gen group, so unlike Mamamoo, where the skill gap between dance line and the other two was quite evident in their early days, they all look like excellent dancers to my untrained eyes
@@honeybeemoo as for me, the first time i watched mmm, their individualistic style captured my eyes...it seems it was ingrained in them from the get-go...they dont go for perfection but enjoying themselves on stage...that made the performance more enjoyable...and for how many years now they still capture my heart performance-wise..as for pk..only dosie capture my eyes with her distinct individual style..but they are also very new...and im sure theyll get better and better as time goes by..
@@norasimahrahman2912 I can't say about the dance since it's not exactly the first thing I notice in a performer, I tend to notice vocals. But I have to agree, from the very first live stage performance I saw, all of their distinct stage presences and auras were really noticable. All of them capture the viewers in a unique way, and when they do it together they somehow create something different than the individual contributions. Do I make sense?😅 And them enjoying the performance really makes it so much more enjoyable, I didn't usually watch live performances before as every performer who was not solely a singer(I'm talking non-kpop btw) seemed to be more sparkles and grandiose than actual singing and stuff, which is very boring for me. Mamamoo are the first performers I have seen who not only excel in the basic skills, but also enjoy their performances this much and completely transform themselves according to the song they are performing. They really raise the standard too high❤️❤️❤️❤️

She basically told them that too, but that doesn't take away from the fact that they are very talented-and that because of their warning pre-debut, Mamamoo pushed for absolute perfection. And Solar especially. The bar is really, really high.
