Beautiful! I don't have the patience or the strength to do that, and certainly not the artistic skill. I admire people that do that. Its hard to belive that is low paying, but I can see why at the same time as I am sure it is costly to produce as well as to sell. I was into quilting for a while and read an explanation why things cost so much...I wish more people understood how much work and dediction it takes to make even simple things like quilts, even with a team that I learned how to make quilts at a church thing.
I still have a box that my father brought back from Korea. It's black lacquer and mother of pearl with his name spelled out in Korean. Such a pretty thing. I have no idea how long it took. It's the size inside of a large playing card deck. At least as close as it can get to his name anyway. I had the matching cigarette box, but that was taken when my storage locker was seized. I lost my job and became homeless.
