Fofano is a strong presence in the midfield, comfortable on the ball, showing his potential and a good addition to any midfield. He is not another Fred.

I love him as a player but if it was just lapses of concentration I’d say yeah it’s just a bad season, he’s never been fast but he’s slower than Maguire now. He was losing the ball a lot too but that was due to the way the team was set up tbh

There is nothing wrong with the stats on Casemiro.
You need to keep in mind that
- he is a leader in the dressing room,
- plays next to a young prodigy in Mainoo,
- plays in the heart of the team, the engine, the midfield, and most importantly,
- plays in a United team that don't look after the ball -- low possession stat and high turnover from risk takers like Casemiro himself and the dependable Bruno Fernandes.....
When you consider all these, then the stats on Casemiro seem to add up
just swap Sancho with Ugarte straight deal, and the perfect window would be Ugarte, Zubimendi and DeLigt IN and McTominay, Maguire, Lindelof, Hannibal OUT.

So here’s my thing about ugarte. I rate him, and I do think he could be a good player for us. But, I don’t know if he’s really a sole 6. His heat maps suggest otherwise. Now I’m not gonna lie, I haven’t watched tons of him and stats should be taken with a grain of salt, but he looks like an upgraded version of Fred on paper. Aggressive, presses hard, can get involved in the build up but not a real 6, more of a defensive 8.
His best attributes are getting about the pitch and putting a tackle in which make people who don’t watch him think he’s a single pivot. He can probably do that role but yeah like you said he’s like a Fred upgrade in a double pivot. He’s not a progressive passer but he’s good at retaining the ball. Personally I’d rather us get Youssouf Fofana as he has more to his overall game.
Stop over hyping Ugarte.! We don't want another smear campaign on Ugarte like we are getting on Yoro. He is what United want and decided he fits the profile that ETH wants as DM. That's it.

It’s so funny that most people want Ugarte over Fofana. Think of it this way, they play in the same league (which gets referred to as a farmer’s league on here) and Fofana actually looks good for Moanco while Ugarte is a flop at the biggest team in the league. Fofana at £30m is a much better deal than £60m for Ugarte.
I would get Rios instead of Fofana, Fofana is not a 8. Rios can play a 6, is a good tackler and has flair. Height is the same with Fofana. We can also get Fofana, Rios and another midfielder as Rios and Fofana are cheap.
