Hardee's California Raisins 1988 Figure and Plush Collection | The PopComplex

In this video, I showcase my Hardee's California Raisins original 10 figure 1988 collection. This California Raisins collection also includes the four bendy plush figures as well as the Hardee's kids meal California Raisins collectible plastic cups commemorating the 1988 "Grapevine Tour". I also showcase the second Hardee's California Raisin promotion in the early 90s consisting of four Raisin "family" figures. And finishing out the video, I showcase the 2001 Hardee's four figure Raisin promotion.
The California Raisins were created in 1986 by the California Raisin Advisory Board to promote the sale and consumption of the dried fruit. The result of this campaign was anthropomorphic singing and dancing raisins. Brought to life by Will Vinton's "Claymation" animation studios, The California Raisins were Motown-inspired and became a world-wide sensation, becoming synonymous with their smash hit cover of "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" by 1988 . The resulting popularity of this campaign spawned two Claymation animation TV specials ("Meet the Raisins" and "The California Raisins Sold Out"), four albums, numerous TV commercials, a 12 episode animated series, and TONS of toys and merchandise.

I worked at Hardee's when these guys came out. I have 3 that came out in 1987.

That’s really awesome. It was sort of a golden age for Hardee’s back then. I always have the fondest memories of Hardee’s as a kid and I thought they had really great toys that were sometimes better than McDonald’s offerings.

I have all except the 2000 ones and a giant plush one and the small bendable ones
I Also have ones with instruments drums tambourine etc
Just got these all today on Facebook I was so excited to go back to my childhood again

I have 1st set from 1987, the 2nd set from 1988, the 3rd set (plush raisins) from 1988, the 4th set from 1991, and the 5th and final set from 2001.

I have some of the same ones that you have that are still in the bag they came in and some with cards . i also have some it looks like date 1987 that just has California Raisins , a number and copy right .
