God this band should be 10 times bigger than nirvana. Not trying to start an Alice vs nirvana war but it just kills me they are soooo big and aic and layne aren't!! They never got the credit they deserved... RIP Layne Thomas Staley.. I listen to you every day bro...
pt88gt but kurt wouldn't be happy at all to see how his death and music has been capitalized. Nirvana t shirts sold like it's a brand and not a band's name and wore by people who don't know more than 2 songs by them.
Early performances are always so much better IMO, this is a perfect example. I don't know what it is, whether they just have more energy, or they have more of the original passion that made them write the song in the first place, but they sound so amazing here... it's mind blowing
I was born in 81 so I got to witness the most poweful musician/singer ever. He was truly awesome and still is. From what I heard this song was written by Layne about a girl who did him wrong.
@TheRockchick1981 Love, Hate, Love is about how Layne was treating Demri very horribly and wanted to break the pattern. And as soon as he wrote this song the pattern was broken.
Sad and depresive songs are really powerfull. He puts his soul in hes songs and we can not only hear them but we can also feel them! They are true and deep. Autumn is comming so im in a depresive state. I'm really happy, but hearing this sad song really makes me cry, cuz i can feel his pain. I've lost many friens that introduced me to AIC because of their heroin addiction, like Lane.
Well I tried to see them twice, and both times they cancelled....It was getting bad for Layne, even back then..Dammit wish he could have been saved, somehow...
It's just unfortunate that more bands didn't pay attention to Alice In Chains...otherwise, there might have been better music on the radio. I get sick of all of these 'new' bands sounding like a fusion of Creed and Bush.

i was born in 86....never had the option to see AIC. Those people didnt realize they were witnessing one of the best voices in history.

totally agreeee!!!
@MerDeRage how true! I was born 1989.09.23... one day after this show!
great performance!!! wish I could be there :'(
Very nice, but i think the slower version fits the song/lyrics better.
ho layne how much i love you ;)
Maravilhoso estou sem palavras! \o/
Layne é du karalho haha
Alice!!!
Nirvana does in fact blow. I agree.
just a bunch of kids....now 2 are gone...
That's an interesting version. . .I like the studio better, but Layne sounded awesome back then.
Did Layne fall off the stage??? lol
Oh, how I love him!!!!
Well I tried to see them twice, and both times they cancelled....It was getting bad for Layne, even back then..Dammit wish he could have been saved, somehow...
in the final it gets morrisonesque
I often wonder what was in Laynes mind when he wrote the lyric for love hate love...
I honestly think its either bout a girl or drug
DEMRI
I was born in 1989
Look at him move :)
**I may need a few moments alone!!!!
nothing beats the original ;D live facelift comes REALLY close though
Search for this but type "live at moore" . thank me later.
Dude nirvana blows. This is my shit.
Nirvana and Alice in Chains were both great bands, but a different style
