I’m a BBW shopper from way back in the early 90s. I know what to expect from their products and what they’re worth… not full price! It’s up to the individual if they don’t want to wait for a sale. I max out at $5.95 for body care, $3.50 for soap and $12.95 for candles and my collection is still too big. None of these things are essential items so if it takes weeks or even months to go on sale it’s OK.
Yes, I love these prices you mentioned but not how they won’t include the $40 Halloween candles. When the prices were really good, I would make big purchases with coupons. I use a lot for gifts and so on but now I won’t make big purchases because they won’t let me use my coupon over $250. I just really bothers me.
TOTALLY Agree . Back in the 90s B&B Works was So much better ! I vividly remember the scent of Green Apple as well as PS I Love You, that they discontinued both, & then yrs. later, came back with the Green Apple , but had changed the formulation to where it was not at all as strong & perfumey. It was So gorgeous when it first came out, then when they come back with it a few yrs. later, ruined it badly ! My thought is, do they not keep notes of the formulations, that are a spot on wonderful long lasting scent??! They decided to go cheap, & hope that we don't pick up on it !! After I found out, by shopping, that they obviously decided to be as cheap, as possible, I quit shopping B&B yrs. ago. They truly should be Very Shamed & Embarrassed !
I'm a BBW shopper from way back. I remember putting on a body cream in the morning and being able to still smell it in the evening! Lately, with the loss of scent strength and/or lack of candle performance, I feel like like SAS prices are what their stuff is worth.
I agree, I just have to shop the good sales. Some time ago I use to shop the buy 3 get 3 free body care sale but that one is not a good one anymore with prices going up.
@@Cynthiam106 my store near me does straight exchanges even on sale items, they adjust the price that was paid on the receipt so no extra money owing for an exchange on a sale item 👍
Agree.. I have a rant but here is not the place. It's about online purchases and those of us that are disabled don't drive can't get there for the One Day sales cuz they're at work or at school, and have to order online. When I go in the store and I just want to exchange something with my online receipt or just get a credit so I can shop around for the once every 6 weeks I can get out, they've been doing it without a receipt and I don't know why cuz I have every receipt since I shop online. Now I got dinged because it looks like I'm doing returns with no receipt yet ironically not only do I have the receipt I know which item is on which receipt, how I paid for it, etcetera some of these online purchases are gift card and credit card or Visa card and you know so I no longer have the gift card and I just want to shop in store. They are kind of discriminating against those of us that can't get in the store they do the same thing with the coupons, we can't use a 20% coupon and get our free item that they send us a coupon for in one purchase online it's kind of unfair that you can do it in the store but not online but that's a whole nother chant thanks for all you do😊
@@Dani-ICU-RNenforce they process your online exchange or whatever correctly. The fast way is doing it as ni receipt. I have had to push back before and a manager had to do it because the cashier didnt know how to do it right .

Hi Cynthia, I am glad that you voiced your opinion here and believe me, I think the majority of of BBW customers are feeling the same. I am tired of seeing more and more items that I can’t use my rewards on and everything going up and down every day. It’s ridiculous. I have been buying more and more candles from Kringle while they are more expensive. They are a better quality and their customer service is good. They don’t keep raising the price of things constantly and playing with us. Anyway, thank you for your videos we appreciate them.
My friend I will go with you wherever you go. It’s not very often that I get out. My husband took me to bbw to exchange a couple of items I just changed product for product and the lady was not nice . She scanned my drivers license and later I checked my account and my reward went to negative 40 points. All I did was trade product for product. I am upset about that and all the changes they are making. I love all the walkthroughs you do. I feel like I am shopping with you and I appreciate that. Aww 🥰 thank you so much sweet friend 😍❤️😘 it’s gotten so bad with exchanges as well. I recently experienced a bad exchange when I was picking up BOPIS and wanted to exchange one mist for one that ticket price was lower. But because I bought on sale they wanted to charge difference de sale price 🙄
@Cynthiam106 My store does that to me every single time!! They'll only exchange item type for item type AND the prices have to be exactly the same too!!! Like I can't exchange a $18.95 FFM for a $16.95 FFM. They will only give me back whatever I actually paid for it & then make me pay the difference!!! They say too many people are exchanging too much sale merchandise & too much basic/older stuff for the new. They even have went so far as saying the new stuff is excluded!!! It's crazy what & how they are doing stuff nowadays!! And they are losing out on ALOT OF MONEY!!!!
Completely understand where you are coming from. Im sticking to body care and hand soap sales only. No more candles (switching to essential oils) and Im not interested in any of the decor. I feel like a lot of us go through phases with these types of products/stores....at the end of the day we all only have so much money/space/storage etc.
I only shop with coupons. But for the most part this year I have been on a no buy. I have gone as long as 4 years without shopping there. So I know it's possible.
They have always been so bad at giving loyal customers coupons. They try to say it’s random when it’s not. Why is it that as soon as I started working there, I stopped getting coupons to my name. It was literally the following month.

Youre not alone on not feeling bath & body works like before. A lot of us feel the same. It just causes us to think differently about what we are purchasing. Ill be going from someone who brought everything, to picking and choosing and likely shopping sas more exclusively instead
I agree it's totally disgusting how they are treating their customers. TH-camrs like you, bonnie, etc. give them a ton of free promotion and advertising and for them to turn around and cap their coupons at 250 is really gross and greedy. They're gonna regret it when it's the holiday season and customers are not buying as much for gifts, or at candle day or SAS. I hope they know that they really F'd up this time.
Yes i am also not as into this anymore. Mainly because 16.95 reward then they put prices of fragrance at 17.95 and UP!! And perfume is ridiculously priced

Corporate greed ! They are out of their minds with some of the prices anymore! And cap coupons at $250??? What genius thought of that? Punish the high buyers who spend over $250 by capping their whole 20% off ! Should be 25% off or more with these prices
What they have done is save us some money because now I won’t go over $250 at candle day or there days like body care day as well. This policy has upset me but I will just take my money elsewhere for the most part.

I've just cut back on everything...retired and I just don't like all the clutter...I only buy candles when their $12.95/20% off and then I only buy 3...hardly buy any bodycare...have 2 shelves in my bathroom/2 deep, so I have plenty...will watch what ever you vlog😊

I am so disappointed in bbw, not the same company that it was in the 90's. Prices are insane and the quality is not the same. So sad 😢 . I still have a lot of the older candles and accessories. Scent is strong and wicks are thicker. What happened to bath and body works????

I am outraged by the price increases and the lack of quality. The Halloween candles that were noticeably higher in price and excluded from coupons was my tipping point. I’m realizing that there are other candle brands that are priced better and are of good quality. I’m moving on to Kringle, Slatkin, and Goose Creek. BBW has gotten to greedy for me to support.
You are not alone, with the price increases, how we can't use our free coupon on FFM or BC anymore (thanks 17.95 -.-), and on and on with the company being more strict (or "stingy"), we are growing apart from the brand. Of course, there are reasons - thanks to thieves, LOL; but for us not doing anything wrong...it's frustrating. Anywho, yes, would love to see branching out more to different shops like TJX stores, Target, Burlington, etc.
I’m not worried about BBW prices. They will realize how customers are reacting to the coupon limitations and the over priced fancy lid candles. I think this just an experiment! I’ll still shop there. I just don’t buy big ticket items. I’ll wait for sales when candles are 12.95 or 13.95 and body care is 4.95 etc. plus here in Canada we get a coupon every time we shop! The only thing that bothers me is the repackaging of scents and how they try to deceive us into thinking we’re buying something new!

I agree. I’ve changed my shopping habits to mostly sas. I only buy a few things during the year! Done going all out during the year because these same products are at sas for cheaper. And if it‘s sold out before sas oh well…

I work at B&BW, they just keep making some things more confusing for us too because why is it that SOMETIMES certain things are exempt from sales? I don’t know man.
It just so dumb, why even price them so high. They will have so many of these candles at SAS. Even then I will buy less because the base price is so high.
I think that the $250 limit on that particular coupon was done because B&BW didn’t want anyone to purchase the $275 Halloween luminary at a discount and/ or too many of the expensive candles. Has anyone verified with corporate if that is a policy change? I think it is specific to Halloween because that is a big money maker for them.
I wanted to add that I was thankful that the & $12.95 candle sale included candles up to $32. That is what the sign said in-store. Online the $12.95 price was limited to candles up to $29.95. I purchased the Stranger Things collection for $10.34 per candle with a 20% off coupon plus a few fall candles.
I burned out on BBW over a year ago. 430 candles. Now I'm crocking a lot of them. Cynthia, I'd love to see you try some vendor wax melts. I purchase scents to compliment my candles. Love it. Keep on with what you are passionate about! That's what gathers viewers. Take care ♡

I am slowing down on buying from them because of the way they are treating us with these coupons.I have started shopping a lot more at small businesses. I am only shopping at B&BW when there is a good sale or at SAS. Victoria Secret/Pink has some really nice scents out right now. Maybe you can do a walk through there if they allow it.

Like Kohl's cash and Old Navy Cash Hot Topic remember Jim books from Gymboree reward and you can use three at a time and buy that $50 candle holder that you're dying for and actually add a few bucks and BBW will actually be making out because there's nothing left for 1695 or under that we really want or need and it's kind of unfair. At least free shipping for at members on the 25th all the time no code required. I've never seen a company that only allows one code when they send you coupons and they have their own code for a daily sale! Here's an example I had a $7 body cream coupon or three of them up to 1895 value. The other day they had a flash sale for 20% off.. because it required a code I couldn't use the coupon they sent me on the online purchase as well. I can't get in the store but once every 6 weeks so it stinks I got a pop-up last night for 25 off of 100
If you get the 7.00 one again ....wait to use them in store with the 20%. I had 2 of them and I used with the 20% (got candles too) anyways the body creams came down to 5.60. I used 3 coupons at same time in the store
I’ve been shopping today only and SAS for years. I just refuse to pay full price for anything. Many people like us will go elsewhere for things we love. I know I’ve been hanging out at Burlington a lot here lately for candles. Shame on BBW and how everything has drastically changed.
I love owls and it's very cute. I did get the velvet one wit rewards I was so happy I could get something I really liked with a reward. I often cant because I like mists and body cream which are nornally too high sadly
Everything is so expensive right now, it’s probably not a bad idea to distance yourself from bath and body works. I have gotten to the point where I only buy things when they are on sale. No matter what content you make, I will always tune in!
I felt this way already two years ago. I have dramatically curtailed my purchases with Bath and Bodyworks. The price increases,membership nonsense,lack of coupons,and other assorted foolishness in addition to my personal funds needing to go elsewhere has brought me to the point where I will only shop during a sale or coupon offer.

Hi friend. You are not alone. I have purchased about 70% less this year, compared to last year during the month of July. They just released some things that i will be buying...Milk & honey products. I really like the scent of both. Vanilla Romance is at the very top of my list, im a vanilla girly. I want all the vanilla 😍 but will only purchase body care at $5.95. i do love the owl and squirrel, but, we will see. I will most definitely get the wallflower plug of the bookcase.
I do plan on purchasing what I like on those great sales like $5.95 or $12.95 candles with coupon. I love that squirrel holder and you will see in my haul soon.

I'm so over B&BW. I did purchase the body mist for $5.95. I only got two. Petal Parade and Floral Fantasy. I'm only buying stuff on sale or SAS. I really like their dupe line. Covered in Roses and Pink Obsessed are my favorites. I won't pay full price, though. I do want that wallflower plug-in, but not at $35 bucks. I love the crystal ball with the witch hands.

I haven’t had too many but the ones I’ve had have been decent. I would just say, don’t burn them for too long so they don’t sit too much. I do want to buy more as well. So you might see a Goose Creek haul.
I think wallflowers are ridiculously priced for how cheap they are to be produced. They are getting so greedy. Especially at a time that people are struggling more. I’ve really curbed my purchasing with them and will taper down.

I agree it's totally disgusting how they are treating their customers. TH-camrs like you, bonnie, etc. give them a ton of free promotion and advertising and for them to turn around and cap their coupons at 250 is really gross and greedy. They're gonna regret it when it's the holiday season and customers are not buying as much for gifts, or at candle day or SAS. I hope they know that they really F'd up this time.

Corporate greed ! They are out of their minds with some of the prices anymore! And cap coupons at $250??? What genius thought of that? Punish the high buyers who spend over $250 by capping their whole 20% off ! Should be 25% off or more with these prices
What they have done is save us some money because now I won’t go over $250 at candle day or there days like body care day as well. This policy has upset me but I will just take my money elsewhere for the most part.

I am so disappointed in bbw, not the same company that it was in the 90's. Prices are insane and the quality is not the same. So sad 😢 . I still have a lot of the older candles and accessories. Scent is strong and wicks are thicker. What happened to bath and body works????

I am outraged by the price increases and the lack of quality. The Halloween candles that were noticeably higher in price and excluded from coupons was my tipping point. I’m realizing that there are other candle brands that are priced better and are of good quality. I’m moving on to Kringle, Slatkin, and Goose Creek. BBW has gotten to greedy for me to support.

You are not alone, with the price increases, how we can't use our free coupon on FFM or BC anymore (thanks 17.95 -.-), and on and on with the company being more strict (or "stingy"), we are growing apart from the brand. Of course, there are reasons - thanks to thieves, LOL; but for us not doing anything wrong...it's frustrating. Anywho, yes, would love to see branching out more to different shops like TJX stores, Target, Burlington, etc.

I’m not worried about BBW prices. They will realize how customers are reacting to the coupon limitations and the over priced fancy lid candles. I think this just an experiment! I’ll still shop there. I just don’t buy big ticket items. I’ll wait for sales when candles are 12.95 or 13.95 and body care is 4.95 etc. plus here in Canada we get a coupon every time we shop! The only thing that bothers me is the repackaging of scents and how they try to deceive us into thinking we’re buying something new!

I’ve tried breaking up with bbw but it’s hard during the Halloween/fall and Christmas time stuff so I get drawn back in.
It’s hard but this Halloween has been easy for me because I have so much and they are changing so much with not giving good price on all 3 wick candles.

It just so dumb, why even price them so high. They will have so many of these candles at SAS. Even then I will buy less because the base price is so high.
I think that the $250 limit on that particular coupon was done because B&BW didn’t want anyone to purchase the $275 Halloween luminary at a discount and/ or too many of the expensive candles. Has anyone verified with corporate if that is a policy change? I think it is specific to Halloween because that is a big money maker for them.
I wanted to add that I was thankful that the & $12.95 candle sale included candles up to $32. That is what the sign said in-store. Online the $12.95 price was limited to candles up to $29.95. I purchased the Stranger Things collection for $10.34 per candle with a 20% off coupon plus a few fall candles.
They can keep all of it in my opinion. I already have enough from previous years. I also bought some candles with the 20% 👍🏽

Like Kohl's cash and Old Navy Cash Hot Topic remember Jim books from Gymboree reward and you can use three at a time and buy that $50 candle holder that you're dying for and actually add a few bucks and BBW will actually be making out because there's nothing left for 1695 or under that we really want or need and it's kind of unfair. At least free shipping for at members on the 25th all the time no code required. I've never seen a company that only allows one code when they send you coupons and they have their own code for a daily sale! Here's an example I had a $7 body cream coupon or three of them up to 1895 value. The other day they had a flash sale for 20% off.. because it required a code I couldn't use the coupon they sent me on the online purchase as well. I can't get in the store but once every 6 weeks so it stinks I got a pop-up last night for 25 off of 100

The price increases,membership nonsense,lack of coupons,and other assorted foolishness in addition to my personal funds needing to go elsewhere has brought me to the point where I will only shop during a sale or coupon offer.

I really like the scent of both. Vanilla Romance is at the very top of my list, im a vanilla girly. I want all the vanilla 😍 but will only purchase body care at $5.95. i do love the owl and squirrel, but, we will see. I will most definitely get the wallflower plug of the bookcase.

I'm so over B&BW. I did purchase the body mist for $5.95. I only got two. Petal Parade and Floral Fantasy. I'm only buying stuff on sale or SAS. I really like their dupe line. Covered in Roses and Pink Obsessed are my favorites. I won't pay full price, though. I do want that wallflower plug-in, but not at $35 bucks. I love the crystal ball with the witch hands.
