I'm just gonna say this: The episode 8 of this Season 3 of Haikyuu, was the last episode where Ukai Keishin's VA (the coach of Karasuno) recorded his last lines in the series, because he sadly died after that. I'd really like if you have this in consideration in your last reactions of this season when you hear his last words in the show (you will know inmediately which it is when you watch the episode), because his last line to me is iconic and beautiful, with so much weight not just for the anime, but also for the sport itself. Nice reaction as always, can't wait to watch the next ones~
So the asahi hand thing is supposed be him coping with his overall nerves and anxiety. He focuses on the creases and lines of his hands instead of worrying about their upcoming match
@@Caoobse This ^. He's writing 人 to deal with anxiety. The ritual is writing it 3 times and then swallow it. He ate the crowd, so they don't matter anymore. It's like when people say that you should picture the audience naked when you are nervous about public speaking
@@Caoobse I'm not Japanese and I do this ever since I heard about it somewhere when I was a kid lol thought it was common knowledge but then people looked at me weird when I did it

I think he was writing the kanji for "person" in his hand, it's supposed to help with nervousness in Japanese culture
