York City's defencd was excellent last night as was the rest of the team. They were much better than Halifax in spite of an appalling pitch. You could see the ball bobbling and sticking. Typical anonymous trolls on here trying to find something wrong. They should switch off the radio and go to a match.

@@Wrighty130 York were better than HX despite the appalling pitch for which you should get points deducted. First half it was as though you didn't understand the off-side rule. Your number 22 was caught 3 or 4 times albeit we were very disciplined then when he dropped deeper his first touch was poor. Fair dos to the lad though, he was putting some yards in. Many more of your passes went astray than ours often due to our effective press. Your defence was quite good but we had the beating of them once or twice. As the HX manager said, this was a much more even game than the previous meetings when you were in control. To say you have ambitions for the play-offs and we're fighting relegation there was no gap in quality. We thought we'd earned a win. Before the match, I thought this would be the most difficult game of the four we've played recently and would be a measure of our improvement. But Halifax didn't look as good as say, Bromley.

Watch it back, phase 1 Callum Howe fails to deal with the cross and doesn't call. Phase 2 Castro for some bizarre reason decides to put it back into the box. GSK takes one step forward after phase 1 (normal practice) and then gets caught by Castro's erratic attempt at a clearance. Unfortunate but not solely the keepers fault.
