The Osmond parents were great parents
I came from a large family. Our family stood by each other through everything
We were a family of 10

I just recently watched a video on the Osmonds. When George and Olive had their first two children, who had severe hearing impairments, the doctor told them they probably would end up being institutionalized and could arrange for it that day, but the couple refused. The documentary said that Olive and George worked with the two boys personally to overcome their disability somewhat. That just melted my heart.

Mr. George made a great comment when asked about wholesome music. Middle America will always win because that’s what people really want. Holds true to this day! :)

I am not a Mormon. Was raised a Baptist, and can’t agree with the Mormon doctrine. Having said that, I do give them great respect for the morals and values they instilled in their children, and providing their children with the discipline they needed to make them productive members of society. Having said that, I was age 12 when Puppy Live came out and I was an instant Osmond Brother’s fan, even obsessed you might say. But, even at that age, I had respect for their values and morals. Of course, I was “ in love” with Jay. In 1980 I went to see them in concert at the Executive Inn in Louisville, Ky. I happen to get on the same elevator with Jay, and was standing about two feet from him. I almost passed out. Only, because he was the MOST handsome guy I had ever seen in my life. I had seen them on TV and had thought the same thing. But, seeing someone in person is totally different. Of course I was an 18 yr. old teenager from a small town. I was ‘star struck’ to say the least. I had quite a few interactions with Merrill. One night he asked me and my friend if we would go to McDonalds and get supper for him and a couple of his kids. I always acted like a normal person around them. I think that is what they are drawn to. I’ve followed their careers through the years and still keep up with what each of them are doing.

Im a new Osmond fan from the mask singer and dancing with the Stars i have been listening to a lot of music that is the Osmond brother's along with reruns of the Donny and Marie show more interviews with Donny Osmond, Jay Osmond, their family biographies and i absolutely love and respect this family is very hardworking loving caring compassionate Understanding patient kind Generosity people ive ever heard of an very talented artists their parents God rest their souls did a amazing job. Thank you for sharing your story i have seen so many Osmond fans on TH-cam videos and they have actually met the Osmond's and they say the most beautiful stories i have ever heard about certainly from the celebrities today who certainly do not appreciate and respect their fans like the Osmond's brother's still do even today. Im kind of excited because im planning on surprising my parents who are fans of the Osmond's music with tickets to Donny Osmond concert in Florida coming this July it's going to be the 1st time ive ever seen any of the Osmond's in concert i have had the opportunity to meet so many different entertainers and i have always treated them no differently from the way id treat you or anyone else in person i don't get star struck their are only a handful of entertainers that i love and respect and appreciate and would pay to see in concert i have lost a lot of respect for several artists who seem to think they are better than everyone else my friends pick on me because i don't like a lot of hollywood today i like those who have class respect and appreciate everything and everyone and don't act like they are God's sorry only that's my personal opinion anyways thank you again for sharing your story i do appreciate it. I actually was laughing about you being asked to go pick up dinner now that was adorable MCdonalds so cute God bless 😊 i would definitely have picked up dinner for Jay Osmond's children you are so cute the way you told your story.

The Osmonds wound up losing every cent of their fortune. I hope Mr. Ruff’s financial advice wasn’t one of the reasons.

Nah it looks like TV execs screwed them over cancelling their still popular show they invested heavily in, they never went bankrupt choosing to honour their debts, people like that are rich inside in spite of haters.

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1978. No regrets. The Osmond Family was a good influence on me.

I love the Osmonds but being a Mormon is not for me or everybody.
