The bidirectional pattern does a fantastic job of not picking sound up from the side. As opposed to the cardioid pattern where you can still, a little bit, be heard from the back of the mic.

Everything that people want/need to know you explain it perfectly in a short time. So many long reviews and people don’t explain everything nor test all the settings. I’ve had it for years and are looking for an upgrade. If you are getting it in 2021, *get it with the yeticaster bundle* so the shockmount and boomarm comes with it. Otherwise the mic will pick up every single little vibration from your desk. I would also recommend picking up a pop-filter.

Blue Yeti is da shit, a legend on it's own. The only downside is that Logitech made it more kind of crappy. So I'm happy for the fact that I got a real Yeti made by Blue and not Logitech. As a USB-mic there are not much to complain about. Well its a big sized mic, but on the other hand the build quality and the performance it's my thing, and it costs ...yea you got a very lot for the money. Mey XLR-mic dont perform any better in fact

A few things, one option would be to get a desk arm for your mic this will lift it in the air and should knock out some noise. Your mic might be too hot (loud) and is picking up a lot of room noise. Try turning down the gain on your mic when recording than raise it in post. This might get rid of desk sounds. Check to make sure your recording on cardioid so the back half of your mic is not still picking up sound. You only want the side facing your face to pick up the sound. The final thing would be to raise your mic with a book or two underneath the stand. This should cushion sound. Let me know if any of this doesn’t make sense.

How to connect with iPad... I also tried with a adapter to connect my blue yeti to my iPad but the sound is capturing only through my iPad mic and not through my blue yeti.
