How kind of her to NOT have this type of assistance in the end game battle...
Well if you do the quest normally she loses the support of selune and it's even listed that way under her active effects if you examine them after the fight. So ig that'd be why
Her mom literally disowned her, so by the end of the game she doesn’t really have that kind of power to throw around
@@sebastianbutler_ Why is she disowned does it have anything to do with where she goes after this fight?
@@kaboutertje1561Because she breaks her oath by becoming a little bit too bloodthirsty, that’s why she feels hollow after battle.
Also Lorroakan is extremely easy to defeat with our without Aylin
@@kaboutertje1561while she more or less functions as a Oath of Vengeance Paladin she gets too bloodthirsty and has too much "fun" Killing evil doers. Now while a vengeance Paladin is very much for Killing, they are still Paladins and don't so it for tun but for a Higher ideal (Justice/Society etc.).
When she stomped on ketherics head she got a Pass because He was directly responsible for her torment. But Lorroakan Well... He should get a Clean sword to the neck and be done with it.
In the end there was probably a Plan for a possible "getting her Oath/Grace Back" Quest but it was Cut.
"Hey Aylin........yeh so.....when were you gonna TELL US ABOUT YOUR MOON LIGHT SLIVERS!?"
It is your team “miss miss die” vs their team “nepo baby army, body guard and invulnerable”
Aylin was a paladin to Selune. She broke her oath by inflicting unnecessary punishment to Lorroakan. Therefore she broke her oath and lost access to her full power
@thedemonofrazgriz3602 is there an option for her to keep her oath?
Not that I know of, unless you can avoid the cutscence where Aylin goes Bane on the guy
@@thedemonofrazgriz3602 I avoided her well doing that ending scene with him by putting his body in my inventory before the fight ended she still broke her oath maybe you just need to kill him before telling her about him
Man if only she thought to spawn them when, I don’t know, WE WERE FIGHTING THE AVATAR OF DEATH
Pretty sure moonlight cant reach underground, but yea
@@filipbitala2624 that sure didn’t stop her from using her moonlight thing that follows her
@@squidking2679 you said spawn, not follow
@@filipbitala2624 the moonlight still comes from the sky
@@squidking2679 you dont see the sky in a flesh cave
It's the meme of recruiting a boss and the boss getting nerfed for you.
where was this when we were fighting a MULTIVERSAL LEVEL THREAT GIRLIE?!?
Well if you don’t capture her, selune disowns her and gets rid of quite a few of her power, which probably includes the ability to summon these things.
@@jayson4437 She regains it before the final battle though so yeah, sucks being the player I guess lol
Where was this during the ketheric fight? hahaha
Right!
Probably blocked by the shadow curse, unfortunately... But yeah, would have been welcome x)
@@syltridso where they were in the same fight, but against the wizard?
@@Vidgital7669 This I can't disagree with... Maybe she needed to feel especially vengefu, let's say after a despicable treason from someone she trusted? x)
Aylin, sweetheart, why the feck didn't I see thoses during the battle against the giant brain, its pet dragon and the army of cultists?!?
Giant brain didn't personally betray Aylin xD
Wow how kind of her NOT to use it when we were literally fight Kethric
or the fucking netherbrain which is a threat to the existance of the gods
She probably couldn't use that in the shadow cursed lands I'd imagine
@@onima1753the light is literally the only thing that CAN counter the shadow curse
I did this in my dark urge run and I got absolutely destroyed by her backup💀💀💀
Deserved lol
And rightfully so!!
Deserved ngl
Honor mode strategy; Astarion always stays at camp or at the very back of the party, ready to misty step his vampire butt out of there. We do every battle with three people, and he is on "Withers Duty" to bring anyone who dies back and send them into the meat grinder again with a pat on the butt and some words of encouragement. 😂😂
Petition to have her fight like that when she's on the team...
I wish i could summon them for the end battle ^^
It'd be either too easy with them running over everything or too hard with a bunch of invulnerability globes all over the place. Lol
Would have been awesome, but there's actually an in game reason why you can’t. When Aylin kills Lorroakan she actually breaks her paladin oath and gets disowned by her mother selune
@@angelablaha9339 Oh, that is indeed a useful information
But now I’m tempted to see what happens if i don’t tell her anything and kill Lorrokan by myself ^^
U dont rly need any summons for end battle, 90% of the battle is skippable anyway
@@angelablaha9339 She gets it back, though.
12-144 is just 12d12 by the way. Adding this because the game very much still works on tabletop rules, so knowing the dice for tabletop conversion might be useful to *someone*.
Not having to know simple multiplication multiplied the player count in the usa.
@@yaldabaoth2 That's both incredibly sad and incredibly unsurprising.
Thank you! This is incredibly helpful and really what should have been said. 12-144 Is actually a bit misleading because when you roll multiple dice they average out on a bell curve and so statistically you end up somewhere in the middle of those numbers more often than you would on either of the extremes.
Funny how Selune helps her if you turn her in but rejects her for killing him if you help her…
selune doesn't actually reject aylin there. the temporary removal of the daughter of the moonmaiden buff is confirmed to be a bug. she effectively still has all her buffs and powers if you check after the fight, or even during the final battle.
@@jenna127 not op, but I think they're talking about how Aylin reacts like she broke a paladin oath in her dialog
Why didn't you use this when fighting Myrkul, Aylin?!!! 😂
My game must’ve glitched out, they showed up and fought on my side for the lorraokan fight, immediately cast globe of invulnerability on gale and I smited lorroakan in like 2 hits, easiest fight ever 😂
Ahaha nice move!!
I also like that Lorroakan is really was made for throwing down to the lower levels on the first turn of K. and become almost dead on that point😂
I promise, I will never experience this. I don't have what it takes to be that cruel to her.
Where was this when I was fighting the god of death?
Easiest way to beat any enemy that relies on a reaction: force an opportunity attack
youre right about that last one, aint no way im backing down after everything that followed
Me watching Aylin die in a single turn during every fight she’s in 👁️where are the angels Aylin. You had one job
I’m still confused on why she loses her oath after fighting the evil wizard trying to enslave her like thorm did
Was it really her Oath though? Someone said that Selune stops favoring her because one of her Selune themed buffs disappears after ^^ (I just don't know if they planned this out entirely.. I guess we'll never know until someone asks a dev)
Isn’t it linked to isobel dying and her getting revenge on him?
@@zachariz1490 no I don’t think so cause if you side with Dame Aylin and kill loroikan she loses her oath no matter what but i don’t understand is why. The video shown is if you don’t side with her.
It’s not her losing her oath. That’s just a theory, never confirmed. She’s sad because she doesn’t get satisfaction from killing Loroakan, and instead just still feels upset by his actions. It’s heartbreaking but not oath breaking.
@@statementofjoespooky1660 but doesn’t she get a condition of no longer being Selunas chosen or something like that?
if I was Tav, I would be like "So you had this card all along but didn't choose to use it when we were literally fighting an avatar of a god???"
According to Larian, there is an ending that only 33 people have seen this year.
So a more epic battle that sounds like fun killing gods always has the best fights
Yup its arguably the hardest damn fight in the game given how much damn bust damage those spirits can do. Prepare well for it
Celestials are unusually strong in 5e for some reason. In 3.5 aasimar, devas, etc were not op.
I was fighting for my life and anxious of Rolan joining the Weave AND SHE COULD HAVE DONE THAT?!
The only way to make her useful is making her really imortal, not like in any other fight, where she gets oneshoted and stands up to take 1 hit every 3 rounds
I spent almost 3 hours trying to keep Dame Aylin alive! Aint no way im undoing that....
Aaaaah how good it feels to know she could’ve used that idk maybe when we were fighting a literal god of death or idk when the entire realm was at risk of being controlled by a big brain
just did this fight yesterday, all o can say is thank you sleet storm for breaking concentration
Soooo.. shes only good when we're enemys?
That’s usually how video games work lol
@@tylerballard54 Except for Vergil. He a real homie, even more OP when playable.
Aeylin has the most hard dialogue line delivered in this sequence. Rolan (if alive) tells her something like “You cannot hope to face two of the most accomplished wizards” and she just remarks, “There is ~nothing~ I cannot do.” Such a badass!
Is it wrong that I wish I could retort with something like, "ok, can you cut a steak using just your toes? Can you lick your own elbow? Can you eat Neptune?"
Wish she did this during the Ketheric fight god damn
The reward was such a joke
Markoheshkir staff is a good staff but yeah even orin and gortash boss fight is far easier than loroakan, we deserve more than a staff
@@quanlinglingdingle6122I just beat loroakan without him getting a single turn in honour mode. I took 4 damage over the whole fight. Loroakan is too easy
@@quanlinglingdingle6122markoheskir is gotten even if you don't side with loroakkan
The reward is around 6000 gold
@@MaximumBoolin Right like he only got off one spell and that got countered immediately, in my fight with him.
Loroakon is a joke, and an obvious joke at that. The ‘reward’ is your punishment for actually going through with it.
I never knew this fight existed until this video. And I’ve beaten it so many times.
That's probably because you have a soul and never had the heart to betray her. That's just plain evil.
so your telling me i get jumped by like 20 brain eaters and she could do this move the whole time? that would had been great during that big fight😭
I mean it was always going to be lore breaking because what use is a final boss if an NPC just swoops in and does it for you?
She acts like a Nepo baby, having so much power and influence, but won't use it for your benefit
Wow, so mom doesn’t mind saving her after everyone else has betrayed her, but if she dares to try to defend herself, then she’s punished? Gaslighting and Learnt Helplessness, anybody?
Ok so she's able to summon back up if you turn her in ok I'm doing it now cuz when I first fought the final boss she only brought her self and she could do this yea I'm selling this dam angel.
Well obviously, how can she summon them after she broke her oath?
Should be a persuasion option or a way to prevent her from going over the top and breaking her oath so she can summon them at the end fight.
I couldnt ever betray her
you telling me she could have HELPED MORE IN FIGHTS but decided to just be dead weight .... AHHHHHHH
best game ever
I like forgetting to tell her and then making her feel insecure about our friendship.
Gentlemen it's eady to explain. If this was available during Thorm's battle, then to balance it into a thrilling experience again the evil playtrough would be either doomed ... or gifted an artifact of shar too powerful to be kept.
Its better to kill Aylin and make SH a Dark Justiciar, then to go down this route.
kinda interesting as this would only show up in this specific circumstance, an evil playthrough would've just killed her at the start, while a good playthrough wouldn't hand her over in the first place.
This is why you let shadowheart do her thing
> doesn't summon them when fighting the apostle of myrkul, lord of bones, god of death
> doesn't summon them during the last fight to save the fate of Baldur's Gate and everyone in it
> summons them because an incel wants moon powers
we are fighting a god in act two and she is the most useless assistance there...
act three:
what did a wizard do to deserve this kind of flex?
I accidentally triggered this fight because i misread the dialogue option and thought it was to tell the wizard to stand down
Rip
12d12 is wild
I mean, in fairness, she didn't need to summon them before, because she wasn't fighting alone.
Aylin. We are mortals
We have a cleric who can’t hit basic firebolts
A gay vampire
A suicidal wizard
A sex fiend Druid
An old woman who’s also a Druid
A dark elf who doesn’t like anyone else on the team
A warlock with daddy issues
a space frog
And a woman who is literally burning alive
We were fighting a death god and giant brain.
Fun fact : this is the only celestial in the game
エミ最後どでかいブーメランで笑った
I cant stop laughing how comments are more on why mommy Selune didn't tell her lesbian daughter to summon divine warriors when fighting a country level psychic brain 😂
She summons them too to help you fight dingle wizard doesnt she? Every time i did the fight she summons them and they fight with me. The shield condition even lingers until long rest for some reason lol
Sliver me Timbers!? 😮
I wonder how will multi party mods can work against this hard mode, I'm tempted
Does she use this all out attack during the fight against the elder brain… Nope thanks aylin!🙃
Ah. I love playing the FAFO game.
So Ayelin… you let me fight: Thorm, Lorroakin, AND an effing ELDER BRAIN, but never thought to do this?!? See? This is why women have such a hard time in the work place. It’s like, at the epilogue, you get a letter from her that says “hey, so… I just kinda FORGOT but I can totes do this awesome thing!”
Their reaction uses a d12? 12 of them? No way. d12s aren't used for anything. Lol
In baldurs gate they are pretty common
For example scorching ray, or ray of sickness
@@adamjeviczki3175 Scorching Ray use d6s and Ray of Sickness use d8s.
Yes the fight if crazy hard if you don't have a decent team setup lol
Y’all, she doesn’t use these because she thinks ketheric isn’t as powerful as he thinks. She uses them against you because you are a VERY powerful enemy
I love her, but I don't love that she was designed to be ridiculously weak unless I have to fight her.
This chick has this skill, and NEVER USES IT TO HELP!?
Yo Aylin couldnt you have used that during the ketheric fight?!
So Aylin and Selune were just... _sitting_ on this power every moment for the last century?
Convenient she only ever uses it against the player. I'll be sure to remember that the next time I get a chance to stab Aylin in the chest.
And the fight they choose to unleash it in isn't the one that involves the sister at war with Aylin's mother. It's not at any point when dealing with the heinous creature that is Balthazaar. Its not while fighting a god's chosen, or fighting a god himself.
Its not even during the final battle for the fate of the entire world.
No, its because Tav tries to hand her over to some random shmuck in a wizard tower too squishy to hunt her down himself.
Aylin didn't even express this kind of rage and power toward the people who literally kidnapped and tormented Shadowheart for decades.
She could have just not gone to him at all and he wouldn't have known the difference.
You're thinking wayyyy too deeply about it. The moonlight silvers don't join in during the Kethric or end boss fight along with Aylin bc they'd make the battles very easy. That and she breaks her oath if you help her yeet the wizard.
This wasn’t in the game on release. Dame Aylin is unable to fight the players party + Lorroakan’s summons all by herself so this was added as a fun new encounter.
Dame Aylin is powerful, OP actually, the AI just misuses her. She can deal over a thousand (yes, well over a thousand) if she’s controlled and buffed by the player in the Courtyard final battle.
@@CreativeUsernameEh that's honestly fair enough in terms of game development. But still frustrating from a roleplaying perspective lol
Does make it even more confusing how Kethric ever got one up on her
This is one of those things the dm pulls out of their butt. Because where was this against kethric? The brain??? Against laroakkan?????
Why couldn’t she summon them for the actual bloody fight?! I always do this section without the Nightsong because it’s so much harder if you don’t do a surprise shot!
She broke her oath BECAUSE she decided to fight and kill Lorroakan, mate. That was the whole monologue about her feeling the emptiness of losing something important afterwards. Her fighting him in that way wasn’t what Selunè wanted. It wasn’t right. That’s why the slivers didn’t join her.
@@fenn__fennshe doesn’t have an oath to break.
@@CreativeUsernameEh yes she does lol, she swore an oath to her mother Selunè. Shes literally an oath of vengeance paladin. Her breaking her oath after killing Lorroakan is actually canon
"12-144" instead of saying 12d12 is just wild. Shows you don't play DND
I did betray her after saving her, but I didn't get this. Maybe it was because I killed her lover and her at my camp but she was still cool with me through the entire campaign
Larian please let us control her as a Temporary Companion like Jaheira, the AI for her is not good. She’s so powerful when we can actually use her abilities correctly though… just let us control her please!
Why would you betray Aylin?!
Shes awesome.
The princess twirl with Isobel is adorable.
Money. But I also find her slightly irritating.
But at the same time I hate how Isobel later gets herself killed because she thought that she could beat Lorroakhan on her own. Wish I could just lie to Isobel so she doesn’t end up dying.
Она бесполезная. Сидит в лагере, ни хрена не делает, как персонаж - скучнейшая.
Если бы можно было убить их обеих во втором акте так, чтобы тифлинги не пострадали, это было бы просто шикарно.
Но увы.
Where is this when we fought the elder brain ???
Wait, this a sliver? I thought sliver is those snake like hive mind kind of creatures.
Dude I need to do this now 😂
this fight is also super glitched because no one has ever actually done it lol
She should summon these against Ketheric. 😑
What kinda divine loot do you get for surviving an encounter like this? 🤩
Just for the info from this video im doing an evil playthrough
*looks at this fight then back to her getting bodied by kethric and me having to have shadow heart heal her to keep her alive while my RANGER/BARD half elf solos kethric excuse me? Excuse me! Where was this energy with literally death!
That would have been REALLY USEFUL while qe were fighting the Nether Brain on Honor Mode!!!
🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Why in Selune's name did she not summon them in the colony? Or to kill Larroaken with us???
Um, im sorry, but why tf dont i get these in the fight against Loroakan and the fight at the end?
Betraying her was so pointless you get gold which in act3 I already had more than a dragons hoard worth of gold
is there some kind of condition that needs to be met? I gave her to Loroakan on one of my evil playthroughs and this didn't happen
So she just straight doesn’t wanna use this for the big brain fight wtf?
Ight so when I did my honor mode run and Wyll and Gale died in the Myrkul fight you decided this wasn't necessary?
Why do we not have her summons in good run? Do we really have to betray her to get those silvers?
Why defuq she not summon them when we help her 😂
WHY COULDN'T SHE SUMMON THESE GUYS FOR THE ENDS OF ACT 2 OR 3?
Why can't she do this for the other fight? Like... I get it, she's just that confident in TAV and co., but come on! Aylin! We could have used this! Would have saved me having to do the fight 5 times!
WHERE WAS THIS IN THE FINAL BATTLE??? 😅
Had no clue they added this when I was trying to take the path of least resistance when it used to just be her at 1 HP.
Thank God for my Eldritch throw build, those things and that fight was the most danger I've been in for a while.
Well duh I didnt know about that because I would never betray her. She is mine allay
And she's the coolest character in the game, so why betray her? Lol
Ok but hear me out. Can we then release her yet again afterwards and still kill the mage guy? ( Not even gonna try to type his name)
yet she kept dying and doing nothing in the endgame battle THANKS AYLIN
