Great stuff man!! I have had friends bring their CBs to me to check out or work on, and are upset when they tell me that the Bird at the cb shop who peaked/tuned it was peaking almost twice as much and I tell em they got hooked for the sale.. lol- I put it on my bench on two different meters into a 50ohm dummy load to show em.. From now on I am just going to send them this link to your video. Thx again
Anytime! Thanks for watching...
This makes me want to buy even more from you Beavis and ive never bought anything yet. But I'm a huge fan brother
Thanks man we just do our best to be strait up.
Appreciate the information with the demonstrations and examples
Thanks for Watching!
I agree Chad about peak power I would rather have more peak with modulation.
Yup, Peak never changes Thanks!
This was a great video. I've never seen anyone do this before and is very informative. Thanks for the information, very helpful 👍
Thanks for Watching..
Good to know.
Maybe that help some didn't know. Thanks for Watching!

If you look at the tolerance on coaxial dynamics meters - they are 1% more accurate than Bird.
10-4 Pep Avg on am modulated signal still applies.
Thank you Chad I appreciate that do you think that kit is any good we took out we took out are you took out if you come across somebody needing one we can do some at least I think made you check this one that you took out very very very informative thanks again
Yes your old kit is good. The issue you had was big reason I made this video!
I will take a lp digital meter over a bird or coaxial dynamics any day no meter is a 100% accurate I've been playing radio 30 plus years not a tech by no means just a man who enjoys the hobby.
Yup
Let's just say that the Coax Dynamics are less expensive 😉
Yes There good for sure. Basically same as Bird..
Man your intro is killer that's cool as hell !!!! 👍
Thanks
This is very informative!
What is your opinion on the LP reading on average?
Also, if a guy is trying to run a lot of average power, is there a formula per transistor like there is for the dead key?
Lp is good meter 25 dead is avg range. Thanks
@@DonkeyStomperProducts ok, the reason i ask about the average power is because all my radios produce the same dead key but different average.
I have one radio that only makes 300 avg out and another that makes 900 to 1000.
Most all the builders i see getting 1000 avg from an 8 pill.
I'm just not sure the amp would last very long at those numbers.
@@Tinman386wisconsin It depends how radio is tuned etc to. AS Link said Avg power ratings are not accurate reading on a Am Modulated signal.

@@Tinman386wisconsin You need to worry about dead key and Pep
You doing one with the real bird ones ?
Yup Coming up this evening. I'm about to call it a night 73!
More math Early, 😁
I baught my slugs new from a bird dealer & they don't read the same.
My Element/Slang Slugs are pretty close. Thanks for Watching!
My fatboy 1 hg 2290x 2 2879c about 49a on 14.5v how many watts would that equal to
guessing 5-600 pep on 1x2
