Thanks for watching! See you at the track!
Thank you for getting as much video as you did, thrashing to get the back up car out and ready.
We appreciate it 👊🏻
So awesome that y'all still interact with fans and let the little guys/gals do these closing portions. Makes it worth the watch everytime!!
Truly, what a rush. Y'all had my heart a racin. Hell of a job getting the back up out there. Proud of y'all
Proud of what looking bad?
Great team effort!! Outstanding
Hate y’all had a rough night. Thanks for the signatures on my hat though!
Helping the show go on. That's what racers do. Good job Joseph.
Nights like that test your metal. Back in the 80s we were running San Jose speedway the 3/8 part not the mile. we ran the supermodified cars. We were locked in a fight for the championship and on the second lap of qualifying we lost the engine. Luckily we qualified for the A main on the first lap. I jumped in the tow vehicle (one ton dually) with another team member and drove 60 miles to our shop and picked up the spare engine. The team member was in the back of the truck as I was driving back installing the injection and mag. We got back install the engine push started it. (cars were like a sprint car no starter or Battery). I stood on the nerf bar and set the timing as timing and put the hood on. Jumped off the nerf and we got a fifth that night.
@gregoryrapier3021, West Coast supers? Use to go all the time , Sandusky speedway racin Ohio, lotta East Coast drivers and Canada
@saltybildo9448 I started watching West Capital supers and even before the super the modified Hardtops. We raced at Vallejo then when it closed we raced at West Capital. Then when they closed we raced at San Jose. I built cars and was the crew chief for Jim Perry Sr. and Jim Perry Jr. I retired from racing in after the 1988 season. In high school I was the crew chief for Lou Lockrem and we raced SCCA Can Am style cars F modified back then now would be B sportsracing. In 2009 I got back into racing when I bought a 1974 Mazda RX 7 racecar. I tried to race it till 2020. But I was missing the most important thing in order to race . MONEY! The few times I was able to run the car. When it was running I was able to pass ZO 6 Vettes. One time I was racing at Thunderhill in Willows CA. I was third fastest and first in class. I was 4 laps from the finish and losing engine oil and had to pull out. I was about to lap the second place car in my class. I hung on to the car Till we moved from California to Washington State in 2020.I sold the car in 2022 because I could see I couldn't keep chasing my dream ant longer. I am 75 and retired and my pensions are small (3 of them). The biggest one cut my payment in half and the others keep saying they are running out of money to. So That ended any hope to race. Don't feel sorry for me I am doing fine. God always provides. Have a Great day and GOD bless you.
Did y'all win the championship after swapping the engine?
@@hoochgiese4735 No we were second after the end of the season. We were less that 5 point out. I took over as crew chief two thirds into the season and we were 21st in the points. The last third of the season we moved up to 5th in points. The owner of the cars built the engines I built the chassis and wings. We lost 2 to 3 engines every year. This was from 1982 till 1988. Five years we were in the point at the end of the season. Always less than 10 out, One year because of a scoring error in a double point race we lost the championship by 2 points. We should have won it by 22 points.
Not bad for fun working night. Thanks to a great crew
Thanks for the video
Terrible they looked awful all weekend end of story
Dang, what a night. Getem next time Joseph. Good hustle crew.
Awesome work gents!!! Not easy when things go a different way and ya gotta move when it calls!!! Ever so nice to have "backup" when you have to have it ... and it done well!!! Let's Gooooooo Be Safe
Keep up the great work and racing is about having fun and do the best you can
Great effort guys! Just one race. Lots more to go.
Joseph, after you rear ended Freeman you drove like a man on a mission. I don't think I've seen you drive with such intensity like that before, exciting. You harness that attitude in your races and I'm scared for everybody else on the track. Cowboy up brother, oh yeah, in Jesus name.
Good run stuff happens!!!
I have to say that you have the best looking wrap on the car now. Much better then the others you have tried.
You guys got that on the track quick
Good speedy work as a team . Sure will be glad to see that gremlin find somebody else to jump on .
Good bounce back, those points can make a huge difference. You need to put a spare belt on the oil pump. I have to do that in my boat because you have to lift the motor, so I bungee a spare in there out of the way.😊
Tough deal, that's why they calling it racing. Great turn around by the whole crew. Great job boys. As always go get em boys. 👍
Great turnout of cars good show. Racing be like that sometimes on being off on setup but Joseph first car look good out there.and having to start that far back in the main. Thanks for the videos 👍.
Should have told Joseph to reach back and flick that mud off the camera lense.😂😊
I was hoping we'd get a Fergy Time cameo. Great guy.
You guys should see if you could get some races in Kansas we have the oldest 1/2 mile track in the nation and several good small town tracks that I think you guys would love
Great job watching the gauges jojo ! Couldn't have shut it off much quicker than that !
Thats tough racing but at least you kept the car on all four wheels.
The red in the wrap looks really good. 8:39
Light gives it a wow.
He is going in deeper then a lot of them good job to get the back up car out there
Jesse was kinda wild with that drill so close to the radiator… maybe from his angle he could tell better, but from our angle it looked iffie… he went straight ham on it
i love this tv show!
Good job guys!, AND, it is sure good to see Dirt Daddy helping recently in the videos. Nice to have everyone back together.
When you replace the belt put another around the shaft and zip tie for a spare. When one breaks you just cut the zip ties and slide the spare in place..
They won’t listen, but yall need a set up guy. To much money spent on all the best stuff to struggle right out of the trailer. Happens race after race
While I hate to say it…
To see the result’s they are looking for… Consistently…
They need a chassis guy…
Who has a very deep understanding on shock setup…
Shock technology is pretty well everything with a good chassis under a guy..
A lot more to it then shock… But its the difference between winning and not these days…
Don't make a lot, if any changes after hot laps. Track is usually too bad to make any decisions then.
The front of the roof is buffetting bad, upseting airflow over the car. Needs to be reinforced.
Mike
🤣
New wrap new merch,good race.
Would like to introduce Mr. Red Farmer "F97" 90 plus years old..still kickin ass every Saturday night.. thats the way they do it in Talladega Ala "freakin" Bama
You gotta run one class if you want to be top dog if it’s supers stick with supers get rid of the crate cars ,crown Vic s whatever else ,,,
I sure wish y'all better luck in the next race 🏁 🏆🏁 I have to agree that as smart as you all are and that includes especially Dirt Daddy but Jordan and Dusty too. Y'all really need a good crew chief. I know that would be an expensive addition to an already crazy expensive job of those gorgeous super late models and crates and the crown vic's and the modified cars too. I know it's fun to race different types of divisions but I personally think y'all should concentrate on the super late models and crates but super's are 1st because I'm a die hard Dirt Track Racing Loving FAN ESPECIALLY SUPER LATE MODELS 👍💞🤗💞🏁🏆🏁 I'M A HTF FAN FOR LIFE💞🇺🇸💞👍🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🏁🏆🏁
Good job on getting the car shut off when the pressure went to zero. It would have been a 30 grand booboo had you gone around again. While you probably didn't hurt the engine, but I would get the oil and filter out/off. Cut the filter apart and check for ANY metal. WAY better safe than sorry.
If its close to the time for a freshen up, send to Clements and be very safe. The horsepower, compression and RPM supers run, it doesn't take much to create expensive problems. Engines don't heal, they just go boom and then you might wreck in the oil and take others with you......
I know I sound paranoid, but a simple scuffed bearing WILL cause issues you will PAY for.
Good job to the crew getting the backup ready. That's points racing. 11 points last year made a big difference, gotta maximize all opportunity's to get points.
Good luck, and stay safe
Your driver when crowded by another drops back when you drop back you normally end up in wreck s. My opinion you just need a better driver. I do love all your videos.keep that up. Good luck+k,,,
I can understand he’s not trying to tear his car up. But he does need to be more aggressive. He’s very skilled just doesn’t use it. Basically he’s pus$y driving
Tough night but great effort by all.
That's racing. 👍👍
Little bit of a poor start for the season but you have all season to recovery to #1 and we all know you guys can do it especially with Joseph, he's one of the best drivers I've ever seen. 🏁🇺🇸ML33MI.
Pretty much dead last to 18th unloading and just stepping on the gas was a pretty good night despite the challenges. Surely the season will get better for ya.
Hopefully the Clements engine wasn't hurt.
That’s okay Yall will be back Go gettem
Oh man! You guys don’t win every single race? Mechanical issues? You need a crew chief, you need better motors, stop selling merch, sell all your cars, go back to your normal jobs! lol…
Just kidding. You will get up there next time! #HTF thanks for the great content as always
Have to take bad nights an move on its along season. Be safe boys 🙏. Love it or leave it 🇺🇲🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Are you on a450lb spring just before the bump stop on the right front do you put lead in your left spindle .
You can tell it's early in the season with all the bonehead moves. Keep the parts truck handy!
That red on the car really pops
I still think if. The chassis company was providing good support info the crew chief conversation would go away
Well, darn it. Like you said, it could be worse. Better luck next time.
Your new car was impressive tell it wrecked in eldora it lost something .but I’m not a biologist
Hmmmmm . . . time for a crew chief??????
I like the new wrap
Good watch 🥃🇦🇺
Meanwhile back in milton, these guys know milton loves all these home boys
Hope you guys Know . When you flip your car like Ashten Winger did did. That will void your warranty. You gat to fix it on your dime.
Not always true.... They may use it for research and safety concerns!!?
I heard someone said sparks, is the motor going in to be checked?
Hello HTF the Irishman sure wasn’t in your pit tonight but the car sure looked earlier but you guys did a great job hanging in there things will get better regardless what the haters say pay no mind to the non believers
Great job
When it rains it pours
im liking the car turnout here, oh yes. I hope that continues.
I don't know if Joseph was driving pissed off in the feature or if the backup car was pretty fast, but I thought Joseph ran a good feature race. Tough to pass, but that car was moving.
I’m old school but I think you should have to run what you qualified in. But not to upset anyone I am a fan of HTF I want to see him win.
Dang that stinks for the opener crew did a awesome job tho
That's why you should have a window net to keep your limbs inside the car
Y’all boys gotta start having the backup car ready to rock and roll straight out the trailer. Maybe work on getting it ready to roll when y’all get to the track and have a little spare time on your hands
Looked like it was ready…. Put the air cleaner on and bolted the wheels/tires on off the other car🤔
CHASSIS SETUP MAN PLEASE!!!! YOU GUYS ARE GOING BACKWARDS ,NOT FORWARDS
Man I just hate that for y'all... we know you're better than that and so do you! Good luck next race! 🤘
You know when Jesse is working hard, when you can see his breath and he's got his hoodie off!😂
WHAT GEAR AND RPM ARE YOU TURNING ,APPROXIMATELY
Haven't you figured it out yet that when you change the design scheme on the cars, this happens?
looks like you’re not useing all the rf tread
tough nite
Air Force is right! Holy cow!
Illinois racing is why you can't beat us. Everyone goes fast going straight. We beat you on restarts and corners. Period end of story. And you know it and we run the cushions when there is one.
One perk to running speed weeks is already having the bugs worked out. Good job guys you'll get the next one.
@ 1:06 : A race car in search of a race team 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Buried so deep a provisional didnt help😮
Got them in the race
@@jeremyduncan8194 yeah....to be a lap car😱
hate it for you guys. I'M Proud to support HTF!
Keep your heads up!!! Still kicked ass
Wow, zero luck. Keep pushin
Tough deal guys. Things will turn around next time.
Send jordi to shock school. Buy a shock dyno.
Flo racing all day!
Why the tire/suspension covers?
Kneeling pads
What was the super car count? Sure seems like a lot of cars!
46
@@jeremyduncan8194 thank you Jeremy! That's a healthy car count!
Can anyone tell me the reason for grinding the tires?
Puts a new edge on the tread blocks also its fresh rubber if the tire sealed over.
It makes them look busy because they have time to kill
@@5jr.racing982 thank you!
Tough deal
With Overton should have left it on the truck and saved tires and fuel.
Still have to start the A-main to get a paycheck
Idec what happened yall were flying on that track
Sorry Joseph
All the bad luck gone now!!!!!!
Maintenance. Always Maintenance. Could of done alot better. Start testing more. Sad start.
but you can always get a provisional..............................................................
I don't know what kind of experience Dusty has but I really don't believe he's a asset like Jordan is and I believe you could benefit from testing some.
i guess the lawnmower racing is not helping the super racing
I really like you guys and want to see you be successful but for you to be successful at super latemodel racing you need to concentrate on the super car and leave the crate car parked. Just by watching your videos you have way to many distraction or to many irons in the fire. I'm talking from experience worked on latemodels for 25 years dating back to the hava tampa days if you remember them. Hope your new engine isn't hurt from losing the oil pump belt.
Since when are they strictly super late model racing? Wasn't this channel created for entertainment purposes to watch these boys try and get to the front in anything they drive?
Honest opinion, a lot of their crate racing is probably to fund the super. Takes alot to run these things. Seat time is seat time and any is good. 👍 keep rollin
@@travisolafson1889 I agree… so many experts in the comment section after every video is posted… they are living the dream in my opinion… the whole family and best friend are racing for a living… keep doing what works for HTF !!!
I dont think you read what he said. @@travisolafson1889
Sir they are more than working on a super I have drove a super I found out that the more info you have more info on a track is helpful. If you have been involved with racing you should know that. Things break
Yes, it could always be worse, slow and steady wins the race, next time boys
They are locked on the slow
