the Medipin looks like the only thing more useful than the alternatives in size/role as it, eg Cutty Red, C8R, or using a NUrsa with a ship that can carry is the tier 2 bed... though I would say the same partitioning doors and if you can call it air lock on the C8R would have benefitted the Medipin here... but they could have reduced the size of the medical room and had a small airlock system. separate emergency lighting is a great addition. so overall it looks like a great intermediate between the C8R/Red and the Apollo I'm thinking that the Price of the Medipin will be around £240-£245, as the Apollo triage is £250, the Medivac is £275 and the £220 for the Terrapin
I love the Turtle and think this version looks pretty awesome as well. But to be honest, I think I would rather fly around in a Cutlass red. Better weapons, 12 SCU of storage space, bed to sleep and medical beds, bathroom. Overall a ship that you can use in more situations than you could with the Terrapin medical.
Red suits the Terrapin a lot more than I expected. I like the looks of the inside but it seems unnecessarily empty. Like others have said they should have at least put 1 extra seat in there

I had high hopes for this and the intrepid but they have both been very lukewarm releases. How could they have released this ship without a jump seat for an attending medic? I want to like it but it is such a massive jump in price between this and the c8r. I just can't justify paying that much and getting so little in return.
very good looking Terrapin. Not sure why the interior has been shrunken though. I'll be interested in it's price as well as I figure it's going to be more than the original and the Cutty Red still exists. Glad to see a Terrapin with a purpose though regardless.
Yeah, it's so strange to see that there is no seat for a paramedic to sit in. Like the standard Terrapin, it should be a two-person ship. It's a hard sell over a C8R, even with its tier 2 medical bed.
After scans, the Terrapin has to relay the data. Someone got confused about what that meant and overdid it while installing components. Tier 2 bed, good. Wonder how its weapons and shields hold up against bunker turrets.
I was really hoping that CIG wouldn't make yet another medical variant. Medical is only second to combat and the only gameplay is player sandbox. Since there is so much focus on base building and crafting right now, I was hoping for a crafting/building (small)/repairing variant for the Terrapin. Perfect ship to sneak into a quiet spot by a lake and build a campfire. Craft some sweet weapon mods and let everyone come to my arms dealer van by the lake.
Honestly, i have a hard time justifying its existence. Im sure itll serve someone in their niche but the pisces and cutty red already do very well in their roll as S&R vehicles. It just has a weird roll and maybe if it had some tools to pull ships open or make zero g S&R its niche(docking collar, hacking module, a third salvage tool for prying open doors and hatches).
While I am excited for the Medapin I'm disappointed to lose the gun rack and they could have made a jump seat fit by the door. I am also very disappointed that the armor is still bound to the landing gear and not to cycle configuration
I wish it had a gun rack, an extra seat would be nice, but for what it is, it could and probably will replace the C8R as my bunker runner/daily driver.
This will be priced at "nah I'll pass", and I would likely still go for the Pisces instead. But I do like that the medical variant exists, the big HP pool would sure be nice to have on a medical ship. Like asbrand (edit: and others) pointed out, it's strangely missing out on some features.
This is going to be the go-to ship for mercenary contracts. I just wish they gave it better storage/cargo for at least 4SCU? Even if its primary role is medic
This ship looks awesome with great animations. It has a strange feature balance by having an L2 medical bed but missing the normal bed to log off. I guess it may cost 20-30 bucks above the standard terrapin but curious to see the real final price!
A wonderful ambulance. I assume it will retain the HP of the original Terrapin. And as for the price, I think it will be around $230. I definitely like it.
Off the wall question, what armor set are you using in the video. But good review, I expect that they will probably list it for at least 250. Because of the tier 2 med bed, but with the missing features, it should be cheaper, maybe 200.
We have wanted it for years and they came SO close to a win, however, having the price of an Apollo with less seating than a C8R just crushes the dream. (and a long list of other missed features)
I’m putting my money on $230-240. Just below the Apollo but a little more than the base Turtle. The Apollo is going to have modular medical beds, including tier one, but is a much bigger ship.
I agree that the Terrapin is a great chassis for a medic role. But I guess it will be much too pricey to be considered by me. And too bad that the cabinets are empty, unlike on the Pisces.
I am a terrapin fan, but need to see the stats on this one before I can decide if it will be worth whatever the price is. It lack many of the feature on the Cutty Red.
No jump seats, no gun racks (or even a medgun/multitool racks)? Feels like this thing was rushed through without much thought put into it compared to the C8R or Medical Ursa. I don't really see much of a reason to get this over a C8R at the moment.
As long as it costs not much more than a Cutlass Red it will make sense. Terrapin is crazy expensive for what it is now, maybe some magical feature in the future will make it worth what it costs.... Also Terrapin 220, ir the Med Variant is around that or more how could you justify it over a Apollo Triage at 250.
Looks great except for that ‘Terrapin Medic’ decal. Worked great for RSI’s ships like Nursa and Zeus, but in this case it just looks like a bad font choice 🙁
Nice ship for short range combat operations. But it clearly lacks a paramedic jump seat and more importantly, a depressurization/decontamination airlock at the entry. Otherwise, I can't see this ship efficiently intervene in unbreathable or toxic environmemt, especially when the life support features will be implemented.
Dude's going to be really busy this IAE. Here for all the reviews o7 Have yet to get introduced to the beloved space turtle. This ought to be interesting.
I have a C8R Pisces, I wonder if it's worth upgrading to get the T2 bed? The Pisces is also really easy to fly. I think it will be the same price as the base model or +$10USD more.
I was excited to see this come into the game. I was channeling Cyberpunk 2077 medic ships. Was thinking of CCU'ing my Cutless Red. I watched your video and now I'm not so sure. No jump seat, weapon rack or suit locker is a massive turn off. Real disappointment. I own the Pisces red, NUrsa, Cutless Red, and Apollo. I may be giving this one a miss.
@@ChocCoffeeBean Hear that, thats my next big shift, Solo has its place, always will, yet you miss out on the core gameplay that is Star Citizen if you dont. For me, Engineering, Fire Management, removing stop-gaps from the pilot seat were just a handful of the size 9s to kick me up the ass and get involved in group play. Enjoy your Medical T .
I did expect the Tier 2 medical bed as it was the only way they could charge a terrapin price but seriously, even the Pisces has a seat for a medic in the back and no gunrack/toolrack at this stage of the game?
It really really needs a jumpseat for the Medic. Or should the pilot also treat the Patient, but whos flying that thing then? Or as this ship has quite the armor (its a terrapin after all) you would use it in a combat hot-zone. Are you really supposed to carry your patient onto the bed then rush to the pilot seat (which swivels fast now thankfully) and lift off? Heck no, you wait for the Paramedic and patient to be on board and then you lift off immediately. Also why is the cabinet not filled like on the C8R? Its the same asset after all. They somehow always botch just one little thing and its frustrating.
I'm guessing it will be $240-250. Hard price to justify due to the lack of WOW factor and gmae play. Looks to be a solo ship so I can understand not giving is a jump seat but wished it had a Med drone and 1-2 scu grid somwhere on the ship. The only way they could make it worth the price without a drone is to give it 200k-250k hull HP (a tuertle shell) and make it 20% faster then base Terrapin. A " medical" tractorbeam above the door to sweap up the injured without landing or leaving your seat would really make it a ship worth buying.
I love the look of the Terrapin, and it's durability is a huge draw, but the complete lack of any crew accommodations, (bunks, bathroom, weapons racks, seating for anyone but the pilot) especially at the probable price point given what the base model costs, make it a no. I'll stick with the more fragile, but infinitely more versatile Cutlass Red.
Anyone know if a 2scu box can inside? Looks like it could. I currently run a Cutty Red for bunkers and having internal storage as well as a size 2scu box makes armor looting super easy. T2 bed, yes please!
No jump seat for a medic, no gun rack, no airlock. The Nursa and Medical Pisces have these. Yet, this ship is twice the size. Weird.
All good points I’ll include in my review of the ship when I do a deeper dive! Thank you.

It's nice the turtle has some more gameplay options but there's still very little to do with this ship.
Dude's going to be really busy this IAE. Here for all the reviews o7
Have yet to get introduced to the beloved space turtle. This ought to be interesting.
It would be fantastic if you could use the table as a bed since they removed the bed and latrine.
@@Covert.Coyote.313 that would be nice!
I have a C8R Pisces, I wonder if it's worth upgrading to get the T2 bed? The Pisces is also really easy to fly. I think it will be the same price as the base model or +$10USD more.
I like the emergency lightning, kinda cool
Yeah it’s pretty neat and I like that they separated it from the main headlights now.
I look for forward to trying it out
Pretty cool but we'll see what happens with my wallet in a week but kinda looking for a ship with a bit more. Then c8r at least has a jump seat.
Your working with a group/Org
@@davewills148 I am playing with Org members. Would have been nice to have medic & secuirty on board when entering hot zone.
If this ship had at least a normal bed to sleep in, I would consider upgrading my C8R Pisces to this ship.
Really needs a couple of jump seats.
They somehow always botch just one little thing and its frustrating.
intro music is dope :P
Its a bit strange it doesn't have a toilet. The medical Cutlass is the only Cutlass with a toilet.
Apollo Triage is 250. Even with the armor, I can't see how they'd be priced the same.
CIG has added a jump seat to it, will see in next PTU patch
One less thing I gotta dock it on once I do the full review!
Ill wait for my Apollo... No bed is a deal breaker for me
Anyone know if a 2scu box can inside? Looks like it could. I currently run a Cutty Red for bunkers and having internal storage as well as a size 2scu box makes armor looting super easy. T2 bed, yes please!
was hoping it would have a lil cargo spot for storing loot XD
I'm not into medical game play but it looks cool. Maybe the same price as the current Terrapin?
Good guess! Can’t wait to see, I’m sure it’ll be an interesting day lol
A door Gunner would have been nice
