simple reason , people in india take arts and commerce due to fear of science and maths , ( there are exceptions who are interested in subjects and i respect it ) , all the cream of intelligent students go into pcm background. They go through a brilliant college process which has a competitive environment. Other people who are doing upsc didn't faced any pressure till upsc , neither in 11,12 nor in graduation

Yes & many students who are very blessed academically and are interested as well as skillful in Humanities subjects, are pressured to opt Science (I am not saying they are not interested in pcmb, but my point is they might be more interested in social sciences). So these students, also do an extremely good job.

Simple si baat h BA karne wale aaj ke time mein teaching job ko jyda prefer krte h smje kykui unhe pta hi nhi chal pata or agar jisko pta chal jata h toh seedha rank 1 Lata hai😊 or commerce ki baat toh shirf veh business or enterprise ya job krne chale jate mostly toh CA ya cs mein bache kon IIT toh inke pass hi option rhata h bs , conclusion is sb apni field mein khush h 😊😊😊😊
