I am a distinctly average F2P player. I am a BB main, although I might actually be more effective as a DD player (I find Dd play too stressful, and this is supposed to be fun...) I have a 52.5% WR, 99 ships in the port with 3 spare slots. My Profile tells me I've played games in 153 different ships. My earliest reward tells me I've been playing this game for more than 7 years. I've got 7300 dubs in the bank, 32 million credits and 1.6million free XP. I only have 3 Tier X, and one of those is from the German Tech Tree change (Preussen). 20 Premiums and just the one "Special" ship - Kurfurst. I'm a bit of a hoarder, so I could have spent more and cycled out more ships I don't use. I dropped the amount of time spent in the game from about 200 games per week to maybe 5-10, depending on the rage quits. In short, you don't need to have a 66% win rate to be F2P. You just accumulate slots and premiums out of offers and RNG container rewards, so you don't need to be a whale to play either.
Flambass, maybe you could do a video for "fun to play ships" for new accounts? Like what ships are fun for beginners, what you should avoid while still a newbie, what ships are better for what gameplay, maybe best newbie picks for Randoms/Ranked/Brawls? In your experience.
If you are new, you have to play EVERYTHING, you have to figure out what kinda player YOU are and what playstyle fits YOU. There is no such thing as "pick this ship and win". Ships that I think are great some think are meh and other way around. There are no shortcuts to experience and learning yourself
hello Sir, this line of vids is very interesting, i lost my WG acc a while ago, they denied that i ever had 1 so i had to restart, cant keep up with you but trying,,,
I finish grinding all the tech tree ships 2 years ago. Now, I just grind for credits to buy Superships and grind any new tech tree line when WG add them. Now, I'm currently waiting for Bongo to arrive next month to start the grind again.
@@SebaX92 Pretty sure I have it, at least researched, but never played it. Didn't like the reload time further down the line and with no torps I just didn't see the potential. Guess it's tanky as hell tho
For me - Marseille and the french heavy cruiser line is a lot of fun. Very mobile, reasonably tanky and really hard hitting guns. They are all about seeking flanks and alpha strikes. Oh, and a reload booster ;-)
@@sirtogii5216 great guns, reload booster, maneuverability, pretty good armour (though it's not the best). For me he's a punchy cruiser, unlike Carnot who does suffer from longer reload and lack of reload booster. For me it's a blast to play, the only thing is the sub forcing you out of position.
it is like my acc, i got a bunch of T10 researched not brought, usually i accumulate enough credit for me to be comfortable buying one T10 after i grinded up to T10 three times. so after i brought and upgrade all modules, i would still have enough to do another one. that's how much dry powder i keep
What does it mean "I doesn't purchased it"? You don't need to buy ships for credits to play them? Only research them or what? 😮 Or do you mean: research ship->buy using credits->play it for xp->research next ship->sell previous one for half price?
You need to both research the ship with exp and then buy it with credits. I don't buy tier 10 ships because there is nothing to research after them. So I sell the tier 9 I was using to grind a particular tier 10 and invest those credits into a new tech tree line I'm gonna start grinding. Tier 10 ships that I researched I can buy whenever I want but since I have no particular interest in playing them on this acc (since I have every ship in the game on my old acc) I'm just grinding new lines.
F2P will always suck if you have to constantly sell everything you own just to afford to buy and upgrade another t9/10 ship. What is the point of grinding an entire line to just immediately sell it all when you've unlocked everything? The end goal should be to actually OWN these ships so you can play them when you want. Plus you're doing all this grinding to reach t10s then not buying them cause they're so expensive. This is the real problem for f2p. Even a guy like flambass who plays wows for a living can't afford to actually run/buy t9s/10s because it would take hundreds of games to grind credits to be able to buy the t8/9/10 in another line.
"Free to play account" with 30 days of premium, which skews MM and tends to not tie you to the whale food team more often than not... So this is "Minimal cash investment to play" account. Or in the case of Flambass, well, it's free to him cause Wee Gee gives it to him.
You get 50 dubs from the daily free bundles in armory per patch and 100 dubs for daily logins once a month, also from ranked which gives you the most dubs, also from some campaigns and lucky SC. But it’s mainly from ranked.
This Flambass F2P is the best WOWS stream/TH-cam now. The game still can be real fun if you strip away the hype and big bucks.

Excellent video series
Really enjoying the laughter and tears with this new account series. Here's hoping you pick up Jean Bart in a crate somewhere along the line.
Interesting to follow your ftp journey 👍

I'm surprised Flambino isn't going for the Mighty Monty :D
2AM with Flambass 🎉
excellent video

thanks for the update
Flambass Venezia is amazing too. And Kleber.
He doesn’t like Kleber.
Thanks for the FTP vids for the old Vt members...
My first t9 would be Groningen! I got her fror free xp and now is coalfor "free" tons of credits and my best pick for t9 rank
Marseille is that good? Glad to see you've found enjoyment out of playing Wows again.
For me it’s also good. PQ for example doesn’t like it.

68% winrate and he did not play exceptionally well???

How is it free to play when You have premium account and 4,3 K gold? Very lucky with the containers?
Rank rewards, containers, daily containers, and that 50 doubloons from free random bundles
Premium Account in rewards stack up. For example, in dockyard alone you can get 14 days of Premium Account, for free.
It’s ftp because he’s paid zero money to play. The premium account and gold were earned from ranked and missions
Remember Flambino is constantly playing too, so he finishes missions, ranked bonuses, etc.

WOWS is a ruined game. there isn't much enjoyment left. Getting chased by a sub is as fun as a stomach ache.
Does anyone know how much Smolensk went for during the Auction they had???
