@@SuperDreampuffGamer customizable playlists were also a feature in every just dance game since jd2014, so it really should have been there from launch. Mashups on the other hand have last appeared in JD2017, and there isn't nearly as much demand to bring mashups back as custom playlists so I don't see ubi wanting to waste the resources on something not many players would play.

@@SuperDreampuffGamer there's a decently big mashupping community though more often than not, it's to give songs not in Just Dance a routine with it being less common that they are based off songs in the game. Plus, for mashups it'd be more work to add mashups than custom playlists as they'd need to constantly add mashups, and they may rather use those resources to add something like world dance floor for example (which they've promised since jd23's launch)
