We took the same cruise in September. We had great blueberry pie in Bar Harbor, drooled over the Maine coastline, took the HOHO Bus around Halifax and did some local shopping, took a private tour of the Cabot Trail (phenomenal scenery) in Sydney, walked into Charlottetown on PEI and shopped on the main street and boardwalk, and we did a private tour in Quebec City (to Orleans and the Montmorency Falls Park). The next day when we got off the boat, we stayed at the Le Germain for a night before heading to Montreal for 2 nights (it was cheaper to fly home from Montreal). The Nieuw Statendam is a wonderful boat. Great food, great music, and really nice staterooms and suites. We will definitely sail with HAL again. I would kill for a Dive-In Dog about now… 🌭 😋
Hubby and I are looking forward to the Boston to Montreal this summer on board the Volendam. Since hubby grew up near Quebec City, and he and I have been there, done that, many times, I think that's going to be our sleep in day.
We did the same itinerary in reverse the first week of September 2024, starting in Quebec city and ending in Boston aboard Zuiderdam. We really loved Charlottetown Prince Edward Island, and we very much want to go back to Quebec city and spend a few days there! Thank you for the great video!
Thanks -good video. I am in New England, too, and am contemplating one of these cruises. I have been watching people not from New England describe where we live from their cruise experience. Cracks me up. You did great. Thank you.
Really glad to have found this video actually. Almost every day on my recent Alaska cruise, we woke up to be alongside a Holland America ship (we were cruising with Princess). The more the cruise went on, the more tempted I got by HAL, and I reckon 2023 will be the year I squeeze one in. The ships looks beautiful - thanks for sharing!
Holland cruise looks really nice. I was on the NCL from NYC to Canada and back. Chilly in September, but nice. We are not morning people though, and the speaker/ announcements make sleeping in difficult.
Thank you for review, I see that it was posted October 16 but what were the actual dates of the cruise? Did it finish on the 15th, week earlier? I am curious as you said you only really saw color at one port of call.
We just got back from this cruise 2 weeks ago. We were unable to do 2 excursions as hurricane Ike cut the power from 2 locations. The weather was cool and windy. 2 days after getting home my husband and I both tested positive. As holland sails mostly vaccinated we probably contracted this while sightseeing
We just come back from this cruise 3 weeks ago, because of the hurricane , we could n’t stop @ charlotte town & PEl but we stop @ Baie comeau, & Saguenay , captain said that is the 2 nd time we stop @ both location. Weather is only 2 days rainy while all this other days is sunny + not as windy which is good. Actually that is our first cruise , we go together with my brother’s couple totally 4 ppls , the feeling is good, food is good, we have our breakfast @8 am til 10am then we have a little walk. And we have lunch around noon for easy until 1:30pm then we have little walk, then2-4pm we play mahjong , or sometime hot tub & we book the dinning room table by 5:30pm having our supper for another easy 2 hours 🙌🍄🧚♀️ sometime movie, musical, or talk show
This Old Fogy wants a scenic boat ride to scenic destinations. Not interested in being on a floating amusement park, or climbing rock walls, bungee jumping or such. I just want food that is nutritious and tasty, and in adequate volume. Some of those specialty servings look about the right size to feed my Bengal cat.
We are about to cruise from Quebec City to Boston on Emerald Princess. It’s a slightly older ship with limited onboard attractions. So the focus on the itinerary is on ports, not onboard features. The food is good. The shows aren’t big but are entertaining.
Was excited to see a sale on Royal Caribbean for Quebec to NJ cruise. Talk about a bait and switch. Thinking you get a discount on posted price was WRONG. They start with list price, then discount from there. After port/tax fees added, you're almost back to original list price (and that's for a room THEY select). Yes, that was a surprise to pay extra for a room you want. Would be if they stopped the smoke and mirrors and just posted a real price to begin with. Needless to say, not cruising. 🙄
Reviews by "seasoned" cruisers talk down ; what is for some of us will be a once-in-a-lifetime event . You take these "novel" experiences for granted & it comes across as arrogant & ho-hum . No way I will subscribe to your channel
The content of the video was good, but the narrator’s voice was often hard to understand. He often dropped words or parts of words, and rushed through a lot of words. It was distracting and makes me not very eager to check out their other videos.
Have you taken a Canada and New England cruise? What did you enjoy about the itinerary? Let us know! 👇🏻

Nova Scotian here who lived in Quebec City also. Great excursion choices.

my wife and I did a 7 day one in August, from Boston to Montréal on HALs MS Zaandam. It is a smaller ship, but we absolutely loved every minute of it.
Thanks for watching.
Do we require Us visa to travel with this?

Glad to hear it. We recommend HAL. Have you ever been on a cruise?

Glad we could help. We think you’ll really like HAL.
Just enjoyed your video from Canada & New England. We have just come back from our 25 night cruise to Canada and New England sailing from the UK.
Thanks for another great video! Your information is so helpful! Continued safe travels!
Thanks, glad you found the video helpful. Happy Cruising.
We leave tomorrow for Quebec for a 14 day cruise on the Caribbean Princess down to Fort Lauderdale so your video is timely.
You mentioned you wish your HAL cruise had a themed night. I cruise with HAL because they don’t do themed dress up nights.
my first cruise is from boston to montreal.
Have a great trip.

Just got back from a Canadian/ New England cruise on the Volendam.
We are about to cruise from Quebec City to Boston. So I was more interested in your ports or call, since we will be sailing with Princess.
That cruise is on my bucket list. Hope I like HAL so I can book this!!
You can check out some of our other HAL reviews. We think the line is under rated.

83% of Canadians are vaccinated for covid. Almost 90% of Nova Scotia is vaccinated for covid

Sounds like you had a nice time onboard.
@@Eatsleepcruise1Feeling is not bad🙌👍🍄🧚♀️
What month was this cruise? We are doing a Fall foliage one this coming October. Hoping to see more color than you were able to.
We went end of September. It really depends on the weather.
I'm ready to travel from Liverpool to Canada by ship, but I don't know how to find to travel to canada?
I'm looking for cruise from Canada, I don't US visa, got any suggestion?
I have one book for October 2023
Awesome. You’ll love it.
So disappointed this ship no longer goes to Canada New England.
Any Pinnacle class ship would be worth it.

Why don't you tour on your own? Cruise tours are like being in a heard of cattle
Ok, let me get this straight? You don't like buffets or Pizza or Main dining (just average) Maybe you should not be commenting on cruise lines?
