Highlights of the Razorbacks 96-91 overtime victory over the Tigers in the second meeting of the season between the two teams. It was the Hogs fourth straight win in the series. Stats www.hogstats.co...
We gave this game away. I love coach Finch but he left Mingo Johnson on the bench too long after a hot start in the second half. I will never forget this game. I love my TIGERS!!!
And that game was robbed with that bad call especially Hand checking foul by Chris Garner and that cost Memphis the game and it was Larry Finch best shot to go to final four as a coach he went to Final four as a player, and assistant coach. And that game still haunt Tigers fans to this day.and the next game have Memphis favorites to beat Virginia.
I believe this was the game the refs robbed us of a chance of winning by calling a handcheck on Chris Garner against Corey Beck and it was not the correct call. Garner, Henderson, Vaughn and Wright all played in the NBA.
The official had cheated Memphis and cost them the game and cost Larry Finch his best shot to go to the Final Four as a head and he been to the Final Four as a player and assistant coach and I don't blame Larry at one bit by blast the official at his post game and say that Chris Garner hand check foul and Arkansas had goaltending that Memphis last shot and Larry Finch was furious at the post game comment and that game was robbed.
That hand check call by Chris Garner and Memphis last second three pointer shot and had Arkansas player had goaltending and it still haunt Memphis fans to this day
Jim Nantz who call that game and at the end of the game he speak up and defend Larry Finch who was get lot criticism from the fans and media in Memphis and Jim Nantz say "Folks in Memphis need to leave him alone he a good one and do a good job and thank you Jim Nantz for speaking up and I remember that season 1995 and Larry Finch was hurt by that barrage of criticism from the people and media in Memphis and Jim Nantz had the courage to speak out against the media and people In Memphis the way they treat Larry Finch unfair and Larry love his school and almamater. Thank you Jim
@@andrebond678 Larry Finch was an idiot. A year later, he had most of the same team back and he couldn’t even make it to the finals at the conference tournament on his own home court and got his but kicked by Drexel in the first round. When he was let go by Memphis, he was not bombarded with coaching offers. Even small black colleges wanted nothing to do with him
Corliss willamson was a bad ass.

Also having Justin Wimmer take the shot to win the game
I’m right with you. I saw Mingo at a Mike Tyson fight party and said the same thing you said to him
Mingo was my favorite player on that team.
Thanks for editing these without being bias towards Arkansas - appreciated
Williamson was a fucking beast down low
lorenzen wright was so athletic in college. he had those "quick ups"
in sports illustrated that year memphis was label most athletic team in the nation
Mind Rippa Michael Wilson was a leaping legend
that cover was cold too. well...splash page
I loved the old city logo at center court at Kemper.
RIP Lorenzan Wright
@Roosevelt Darbey I'm sure his wife put a hit on him
Or yeah she was charged
@@rattlehead54321 dude you late she been arrested for that. I remember when the story first came out I knew his wife had something to do with it.

Memphis stocking up recruits to play above the rim again next year
What was Michael Wilson's vertical leap? 9,000 inches? LOL
Yea it was crazy, if I'm not mistaking, I think he held some type of Guiness record for dunking.
TheBsheep He dunked on 14’ goal while on the Globetrotters
He dunked on a 12' goal and it was reported btw 48"-52"
William Mendes I couldn’t even dunk on a ten foot goal.
Still holds the GWB record
Another one that got away.
Justin Wimmer was my guy lol
