Thanks for the videos and all information. For this workflow, I would suggest also have a look at the QGIS Plugin: Spreadsheet layers. It will let you import .xlsx files directly (plugins.qgis.org/plugins/SpreadsheetLayers/) and then move to POSTGIS.
csv too, no need for plugin, just select Add Delimited Text layer from Add Layer menu or ctrl shift T this way you can check data type as well (But for Xlsx the plugin is the best) you can also drag & drop layers directly from their pane into the database
