August is my favourite month, I get to argue full time with the kids, spend the days wild swimming in the river and worshipping the sun. Thank you for your wonderful videos! I am learning a lot from you. I have been a witch for many years, I am now 71. I am teaching my granddaughter the old ways. I started when she was about 7 or 8. stir a pot of food clockwise to bring in love, good fortune and an easy life with many wonderful experiences. It is good for your family and the love it brings. She never forgot that. Soon, we are making some spell bottles and Bay leaf wishes. I am so happy that I can pass this down!

Those gorgeous pink and purple flowers!! My favorite color combination - it makes the flowers glow ❤️. Those were the colors of my husband’s and my wedding (which happens to be in August ❤️ - 31 years together).

yes! It is all an experiment with happy mistakes :) This takes the pressure off. Thanks be to plants growing and recovering always!
It’s so interesting about the load of bread being put around the house. Not make this religious or anything but I am born Jewish and in my family tradition on the holiday of Passover in April, the night before we take pieces of bread and put one in every corner of the house and go around collecting it with only a feather and wooden spoon and can only have candlelight to see while it’s dark out. And then once all collected and prayed over, we then burn all the bread as we cannot eat leavened bread on passover.
My point is the tradition of the bread you mentioned made me think of that. I wonder if there is some pagan origin in the jewish tradition. Anyways thank you for sharing this!
Ginny, harvest away with your feverfew. I've harvested mine 3 times in the last few weeks and the flowers keep on coming.

@@GinnyMetheral they are not quite as abundant as chamomile or calendula, but they come back if you pluck their flowers before they can go to seed. The plant has a mission after all.

My birthday is the 2nd and in this part of the US school starts in the 3rd week. I have considered this month my real start of a new year and the true beginning of fall and the fall or lowering of the veil. I will be setting out honey and buttered bread for the fairies on the new moon. Eishing a blessed August of rest and rejuvenation!
