Dancing in a dark club with drunk people is a lot easier for me than talking in front of a bunch of people. And as far as taking off your clothes, nudity doesn’t mean the same thing to everybody either. I don’t find it embarrassing especially in a strip club. It doesn’t have to make sense to you. Mental illness effects and triggers everybody differently. Social anxiety doesn’t just mean lack of confidence I feel different in different situations and day to day.

If I'm late to work I can make every excuse in the book, but guess what I'm still late in my employers eyes. She was late, and instead of telling fans on social media she was running late, she posted selfies with Drake on IG. She says she didn't know the time, BUT somehow your fans knew from google. See this is the difference between professionals who will take accountability and others who will deflect and never take responsibility.
I agree with you that you have too push through it but social anxiety is not just in the brain, it has lots of physical symptoms too, so willpower doesnt cut it most times. And if your trigger is being around people or socializing, then you are screwed because to live you have to socialize to some extent People with anxiety have to try 10 times harder to do normal everyday things that other people do automatically, like simple interactions with people. One time my anxiety made me throw up because my heart was pounding so fast and it made me late for work, its the same as being sick. Tremors, sweating, breathlessness, racing thoughts, dizziness, increased heart rate are also symptoms and having an anxiety panic attack makes you feel like you're having a heart attack and that you might die, alot of people call 911 for anxiety attack sometimes people do faint. So i actually dont blame Summer for not going on stage if she felt like her anxiety was getting the best of her. Alot of times Anxiety comes from childhood abuse too

The black community stigmatizes "being crazy" and our healthcare system is so broken that even if you make the decision to seek help and get treated you may not be able to afford it. It's an overwhelming venture for even someone who isn't struggling with their mental health on a daily.

And I think that's the thing that's not being added into this equation. Also the way a lot of young women have hormonal imbalances that can add to any Mental Health experience they're having... One time my anxiety made me throw up because my heart was pounding so fast and it made me late for work, its the same as being sick.
Tremors, sweating, breathlessness, racing thoughts, dizziness, increased heart rate are also symptoms and having an anxiety panic attack makes you feel like you're having a heart attack and that you might die, alot of people call 911 for anxiety attack sometimes people do faint.
So i actually dont blame Summer for not going on stage if she felt like her anxiety was getting the best of her.

I think this is all too overwhelming for her. All of these "issues" aren't new, different or unique to her. Many people in the music business and travelers alike have similar problems. But like they say the show must go on. She needs to hire someone who can handle all of these moving parts so there can be a cohesive flow for her tour

The black community stigmatizes "being crazy" and our healthcare system is so broken that even if you make the decision to seek help and get treated you may not be able to afford it. It's an overwhelming venture for even someone who isn't struggling with their mental health on a daily.
I like her! I get the social anxiety but what I get the most is that she's young... There are things that I did/said at 22 and 25 that I would never do/say now at 35... And I think that's the thing that's not being added into this equation. Also the way a lot of young women have hormonal imbalances that can add to any Mental Health experience they're having... Sometimes young people can have offencive ways of responding, but it's really because they're scared and nervous! If anything we should be sending her Positive Vibes and uplifting her!
