How to find Mercedes M272 timing position Balance shaft failure

Checking for retarded timing on the right bank of an m272 3.0 v6 mercedes engine. Rotate engine to 305° on the crank pulley and remove all 4 cam sensors. Video shows "right bank" out of timing in a retarded position. Fault codes logged p0016 p0017. Right bank is the right side from the driver's seat. This vehicle had a worn balance shaft sprocket, a common failure on pre 2007 vehicles with the m272. If the balance shaft sprocket isn't worn but you have the same codes and the circles aren't in the cam sensor windows at 305° then you have a stretched timing chain.

So what if i have the codes the engine is not affected by the worn 2009 year and the circles are in the middle ..at 305 degree

@Four Ring, @Banu: I have 2008 C300 so it's not in the affected ranges. However, at 163K miles, I accepted that sprocket may worn a bit, chain may stretch a bit. Problem is, my car run quietly (no other noises), idling well, starting well, solenoids replaced. What else to check for?

I have the timing in correct but it says that cams sensor problem with mixture is that sensor fault?

Check the cam magnets

The problem is that you need to see that problem befour that, because steel junks on the engine
