This LP actually got me into the MGS series. I've only played Twin Snakes and Snake Eater but they were both great. I finally got some of those references to MGS people always make. It's always great to open your mind to another franchise. Doesn't hurt that this LP was so hilarious.
You know what, I played this a long time ago, and what the boss said sounded really deep and thought provoking, but now it just sounds like she is changing the topic over and over to try and pad out the conversation.
Chip does the best LPs, I love the mix of slow methodical super sneaky stealth, with just letting loose and having fun sometimes. It is a great way to do Let's Plays overall really, try your best, but don't be afraid of being goofy.
"You can't leave any traces of your presence" ..except for the flight mask that says "US AIRFORCE" in big white fucking letters? The flight mask that I just threw on the ground next to my massive goddamn parachute?
I honestly after I finish a MGS game I always kinda feel sad, so I watch these to help me feel better, I just wrapped up the last side missions in MGSV
I remember when they first announced this game I was actually skeptical. Then it ended up being my favorite MGS game. I've watched this LP like five times now and I always come back to re-experience this game while getting entertained. Keep up the good work Chip and Dav-Ironicus
Finding this in 2021 and wow, amazing commentary! Very good let's play. Would love to go back and replay MGS3 and 4 but too much of an annoyance to go and find a good condition Ps3. Let's hope for a current gen re-release!

I hope Chip and Ironicus go back on their word to not do anymore MGS LPs to go back to 3 with the Delta remake. Or at least do updates versions of 1 2 and 3 with the Master Collection someday
"I like MGS1" makes your stamina deplete slower "I like MGS2" changes the beginning cutscene a little bit, I sort of forget how (you can look it up) "I like MGS3" let's you start out with any previously unlocked camo and face paint from other save states

Choosing "I Like MGS1!" actually gives you better Stamina. The only option that doesn't do anything is to say that this is your first Metal Gear game.

I know selecting I like mgs2 has the secert cutscene but do the other ones do anything? I only played this game as a rental ten or so years ago,
