  • Sydney Bus Museum transfers a Leyland double deck bus for repainting and returns in an Albion double decker.

    Hearing the sound of the awkward revving and crunching gear changing on board this bus is the sort of sound I’ve not heard since my early childhood.
    It is so nostalgic just like an old forgotten song.
    I love it.

      They sound the same as the old British buses use to sound

    I travelled on these double deckers many times between Wynyard and Manly going to the beach. They were great although a bit slow specially when going uphill!

    Leyland sounded nice. I was surprised to learn the preselects were in the minority and most were synchro manual.

    A great job. Recognized my local area thee towards the end getting on the M4 back to Parramatta, I think? What was the problem with the Atlanteans?
