Such an emotional OST. At this point, I didn’t even know who I wanted to win. Like at first you want Karasuno to win, but then you see how hard Aoba Johsai worked as well. And along with Oikawa’s quote about talent, it really hits you in the feels...

Can we just appreciate how this OST was laid so d*mn well on season 2 episode 24. All of the highs and lows in the music matched perfectly - and I mean PERFECTLY with each scene. And the fact that the comments is full of those memorable scenes just proves how well it was used.

As much as I liked Karasu vs Shiratorizawa and Inarizaki they didn’t have a moment as magic as this and an ost as tense as this one specifically played just for this one scene
Also there’s something amazing in coming back after being crushed by your rival. Season two was the freaking best thing ever.
As hype as this sounds, anybody else notice the underlying melancholy of this track? It sounds like it's saying "you are a winner, but not today" or some sort. It's definitely speaking to Oikawa and how he feels at the moment of that final rally..
Also it feels like you say run from mha maybe cause the music composer is the same
I hear it too, this track seems like it’s dedicated to the aoba team, but especially to oikawa, like it’s telling him to keep fighting
Idk bout this, when kageyama is about to go for the quick, the guitar riff is shown when oikawa talks and when seijoh appear on the screen to make it look/sound like they are the villains and switches back to the other nice sound when kageyama and shoyo are on the screeen cus they are the good side/heroes/ main characters

This is probably my favorite track out of all the haikyuu ost songs. It just enhances the hype of the last rally so much! You just can’t take your eyes off the screen when this track plays.
01:23 the moment when Tanaka made an impossible save. Always makes me goosebumps
One of the best last points in the whole series occurred when this was being played.
Yuki Hayashi makes a single point seem like the most intense thing ever... And I love it.

All the final points in big matches in Haikyuu have epic and energetic sound tracks, but this one is the only one which also has a tone of sadness to it. Really showing how Oikawa is not an antagonist in the way Ushijima is and the outcome of the match, while being epic and rewarding for us from Karasuno's POV, is also tragic from Oikawa/Seijo's POV and the soundtrack and the writing of the seijo characters' final moments really hammers in that emotion.

Miyagi Qualifiers from the quarter finals to finals are definitely national level matches. Aoba Johsai would have probably gotten into the top 16 if they had a stronger ace and better libero

Let’s be honest. Direct Confrontation is better than Battle of Concepts. It’s fine if people like one more than the other. They are both awesome. But this... this is a winner.

Personally I believe as a stand alone song Battle of Concepts is better, however because they make you more emotionally invested in the Seijoh vs Karasuno match this just has a bigger emotional connection/feeling attached to it.

Imagine this music in a boxing anime. The main Character and the rival just going all out in the ring. 1 minutes left, Both needed a knockout to win the fight.
Absolutely love Yuki Hayashi's work, this is one of my favorite soundtracks of any anime show.
Totally unrelated, but if you're loving the tone of Haikyuu epic soundtracks, try out youtuber "Jasper Stories". I kid you not, he is somehow able to perfectly replicate the style of Composer Yuki Hayashi and the shows he's done (MHA, Haikyuu, Run With The Wind). Truly feels like I'm listening to some secret epic Haikyuu soundtrack that was never released or something. No, I have no affiliation with "Jasper Stories", I'm just genuinely amazed at his work and wish to share it. Even just put up a nice "Ninja Shoyo" soundtrack that sounds like it'd fit right in the show.

The reason why Oikawa chose to go to Argentina I only realized now. in Japan, in middle and high school he was constantly faced with rivals who were hard to beat despite his efforts. Ushiwaka and even his underclassman Kageyama surpass him. he was chosen as the best setter right. he should be able to bring the Aoba johsai team to the national tournament but during high school he never once won against Ushiwaka. During the spring tournament, when he was hoping to fight Shiratorizawa, his steps were stopped because he lost to Karasuno, the underclassman team that Oikawa considered rivals as well. Oikawa finally wants to one day beat Ushiwaka and Kageyama one day. and it did happen when argentina vs japan where there was like Oikawa vs Ushiwaka and Kageyama with other generations of monsters. before the entry of hinata, he had managed to beat Japan. So, his dream came true too.

For a soundtrack that is played in a winning or on a match point, am I the only one that thinks that this is the most underrated soundtrack on a last point game on a match? Like for Shiratorizawa, the soundtrack "The Battle of Concepts", for Inarizaki, the soundtrack "Monster's Banquet" was pretty talked about (at least from my perspective) and not really on this soundtrack? Anyways, this was also good!

they are national levels imo, but they are just unfortunate they are stuck with the best ace in the country and his top 8 team and the protagonists' team. in an anime plot POV, they will never really get past that barrier
