I often make a small toilet, 2x3 to fill the space. It's also convenient if you have a sim who spents a lot of time outside, so they don't have to walk through the house all the time.
I wish there were a way, or if there is without cc, please tell me how, you could make other decorative items disappear when using walls down view for play, like how curtains, cabinets and paintings disappear when you put walls down. A lot of time, unless I'm doing a build just for show, I omit decorative items like china cabinets or taller hutches because I don't like them blocking view, and I don't like having to rotate the camera any more than necessary.
A lot of people will build so that those items are grouped together. So I'll put a shower on the other side of a bookshelf. Or put all the tall stuff on the outside wall. Just so it doesn't block any views.
@@steggopotamus yeah, that's usually how I'll do it as well, but after so many builds, it feels a little repetitive. All my houses end up looking very similar, in my opinion.
I don't know if any way, but also I don't generally consider it because I play with walls up 🫣 however maybe I should start considering this a little more when I build 🤔
@@sahm_and_bean your builds are fantastic! I'm just lazy with the mouse and like to direct all/most actions from a single point of view when playing. If I build for show, I'm much more creative with design. Just wish my own sims could experience better decor at my own convenience haha
I either place them strategically (e.g. smaller table with plates in an area I view lots, hutch in the place outside of my way) or I place everything in a way that provides a "view" into the room
