I'm combining leather and wood work together and I'm Grateful to have run across this video!!
Very cool presentation to say the least.
I can only hope to do as good a job that you have shown here!!
Thank You Very Much for sharing Your Ideas and Craftsmanship!!
Thanks to your video I bought my hairline knife tool which arrived today. Have done my first feather already which Im really happy with and have plans for lots of hairy looking critters and things in the near future.
That's amazing. I'm definitely going to have to learn how to do that. Just because it's cool
I enjoyed the video. Definitely going to have to give that a try! Thank you for the demo.
great video! thanks
Your channel popped up on my feed. I have never done 3D as I just wasn't sure how to start. This was just fantastic. Can't wait to go back and see what else you've done as well as looking forward to future videos.
Beautiful technique! It looks like it floated into place. Best regards, Richard

Good job and thanks for the video - I'm just learning a bit about leather work and your channel is helpful. Thanks
Using the undercut beveler gives the same effect as well
I admire your talent you must have been tooling leather for year's.
I have a leather knife sheath I thought I would try and tool some sort of pattern on it.
Watching a few video's is not going to get it there is a lot I have to learn a defiantly get some scrap leather to practice on!
Love your feather pattern I want to do a "feather with a clover"
Thank you! I have been tooling for over 20 years, so don't get discouraged. Practicing on scrap leather is the best way to get better.
@@bransonsgeneralstore thank you for replaying yes I'm going to practice on scraps leather, right now I'm carving a rubber stamp and that takes a lot of time. I guess I made my rubber stamp drew to much detail so I'm challenging myself
Trabalho lindo!Parabéns!

😊👍👌
I'm working toling
To finish that would you darken under neath the feather?
Most often I paint the feather. Put a couple of coats of finish on it to resist stain, and then antique stain to color the background. The antique will color the cut leather under the feather darker.
How you explain this to a blind leatherworker ?
❤❤❤❤👍👍👍🤗👀
How much do you charge to make a case for a Samsung s10 please?
I don't sell custom leatherwork online. I have a full-time job and enough business locally to keep me busy. Sorry.
How would you finish this?
I usually paint the feather with acrylic paints, apply a coat or two of clear finish like super sheen over the painted feather as a resist. After I let the finish dry all the way, usually over night, I use an antique stain over the whole piece. Then spray finish to seal the antique. The antique makes the paints look more natural and adds darker shadows under the feather as well as staining the background.
Every part was great, but I think the fileting killed the effect.
Weak.
Thanks for your feedback. Anything in particular that you didn't like?
