Building levies to stop the water reaching townships doesn’t reduce the amount of water it just pushes it somewhere else. So many towns are built on natural flood plains. So we are playing a game of moving the boundaries.
You don't realise that there is not big fhilosopy or technical endevour to stop ANY WATER all we need is built dams, pump and irrigation systems with artificial big lakes- all you needed is excavation equipment and not only problems solve with floods, you also create water reservours for droughts, and will cost less then any damage by floods
There are flood markers painted onto a building just down from the cafe he showed, you can’t see them in this video but maybe he could include it in his next one? This flood still hasn’t reached 56’ flood levels yet and hopefully it never will 🤞🏼
