I had fun with this. Awesome video from NASA. And GIAA's Niels Kinsella kindly shared an HQ version of the song, along with permission to use it and approval of the final result. Glad you enjoy it!

Thank you Ms. Music. Unlike all my other copyright-ripoff, fan-appreciation videos (like most TH-cam videos), this one I made in complete cooperation with band member, Niels Kinsella. He provided a high-bit version of the track and gave a final "thumbs up" before I posted it. Visually, there are some better compilations of this NASA footage, some with hundreds of thousands of views, but none with this amazing music.

is amazing...and nice to find it still fresh from the concert of yesterday in glasgow of God is an astronaut ...that was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!

At 4:46 you can see the Shuttle beginning re-entry, heading for Florida...an orbit after it separated from the ISS. The Space Station had an amazing view of it descending, until it overtook it of course.
Watched that live on NASA-TV. Something that will remain with me, always. :)

Not to burst your bubble Dave, it's all beautiful, but the fiery reentry @ 4:46 is actually a "Progress" cargo module that has been filled with, well, trash, and allowed to incinerate in "de-orbit." I could not get the "Gateway to Astronaut Photography of Earth" links to open tonight, where I downloaded all the NASA video segments, but here is a link to a still image of the same (or similar) event:
      r.ddmcdn.com/w_622/u_0/gif/28-space-station-pictures-gallery-plasma-trail.jpg
"This picture shows the re-entry plasma trail of the Progress 42P supply vehicle. Progress 42P had docked at the space station on April 29, 2011, and was undocked and de-orbited (allowed to burn up) approximately 183 days later on Oct. 29, 2011."
From a NASA link on "Far Out Housekeeping on the ISS":
"Every arrival of Shuttle brings fresh supplies. And when it leaves, it becomes the world's most expensive trash hauler! Bags and containers of sealed trash will be brought back to Earth.
"More exciting, perhaps, is how the Russian Progress disposes of trash. Again, when it arrives, it brings fresh supplies (but no crews, since it is just a supply vehicle). And when the fresh supplies are unloaded, the trash bags are piled in and Progress is sealed. After it disconnects from ISS, it is placed into a lower orbit and makes a controlled reentry during which it and the trash are incinerated over the ocean."

      The similarity was striking.

Awesome! Thank you Swapneel for posting it. Besides providing breathtakingly beautiful pictures of the earth, the video also provides a o a telling commentary on the limitations of the observational capability of the human eye- things (such as continents, cities, oceans and ice caps) look far different than what they actually are. Is it that the evolution has equipped our vision to clearly perceive nearby objects but we need something more to understand the large scale structure of the Universe?
