But she didn't really abject in spite of Sydney's not wanting "any bug eyed monsters" on the show. I just can't believe how many classic actors passed last year. It was the first time I saw serials like Creature from the Pit, War Machine, Seeds of Doom, Warrior's Gate, and they are now some of my favorite serials in Doctor Who (not CftP of course). Only to find out nearly everyone had an actor who passed away around the same time.

I’m quite sad that you managed to exclude my friend and mentor, the fabulous Henry Woolf, from this list. Henry appeared in the fourth Doctor serial The Sun Makers as the Collector, which certainly merits inclusion here. He was a good actor and a great human being, and definitely deserved to be on this list. I am very disappointed with your omitting him.
It’s true that this list isn’t comprehensive, there are SO many Doctor Who personalities who passed in 2021. Not just actors either, production staff - costumers, extras, stunts, producers. Too many names to mention in one of our videos. Someone being left off isn’t a sign of disrespect. Thank you for mentioning Henry - The Sun Makers is a terrific serial (I’m a sucker for anything Robert Holmes), and he’s great in it. I remember watching the repeat of Coronation Street when Mark Eden played Alan Bradley who famously that got hit by the tram in Blackpool in 1989 and John Challis to me is always remembered as Boycie in Only Fools and Horses.

Very sad. I really liked her in both her Doctor Who and Harry Potter roles. I work in the cafe of a cancer hospital and I see what the patients, friends and family have to go through and it sucks.
I think that is more out of respect. When these stars pass away, their families may want to keep the cause private or the star themselves wants to keep it private. So then for a video to break that privacy would come across as callous. As you have been able to see this video you presumably have access to the internet so if curious, you can look up any of the stars for yourself. This video just serves as an acknowledgement and small memorial to those people who contributed to something we love.
Slight error regarding the clip from quatermass and the pit ,that was taken from the TV version not the film and is a totally different actress Christine Finn better known as the voice of tintin in Thunderbirds.
Marco Polo will be animated one day. They all will. I can still remember when they said no more animations after The Invasion. Then it was no more animations after The Moonbase. I can remember when they told us that classic Doctor Who would never be released on Blu-ray. As a fan of over 30 years, I've learned never say never. It all finds a way of happening.

It’s not like this is an exclusive idea either, TONS of outlets do “In Memoriam” stuff at the end of the year. I don’t see anything wrong with looking back, remembering great scenes/characters, and at the end of the day, celebrating these actors’ contributions to the show!

Helen McCrory was actually close to the top of my wishlist, so I was especially gutted by her passing - who knows whether she even would've done it, but still. My no. 1 choice is David Thewlis as the guy's a phenomenal actor (not to mention an absolute chameleon) who could bring a huge amount of depth, darkness and humour to the role all at once, but also isn't so high-profile that he wouldn't be able to find the time for it. Runners-up for me are Hayley Atwell (she's actually outright said no but a man can dream), Sean Bean, Tommy Flanagan and Robert Carlyle

Sydney Newman didn't create Doctor Who, he just took credit for it. Donald Wilson is much more deserving of the credit of creator.
