the new xplory model is so fancy! we got an Xplory for our first two kids almost 8 yrs ago and a Scoot for our younger two. we just love stokke. the xplory was so so easy to push around crowded malls. the scoot is so much lighter but doesnt handle bumps as well.
You forgot something esencial! :) Explain that the Stokke Xplory’s seat and the handlebar could be lower. I love your videos! Thanks a lot!! Grettings from Germany
Thanks for the wonderful review. I just had one important question. I'm still totally not clear as to the pros and cons of each stroller. Besides the difference in design and that small steps feature that the Stokke has, why would I go for one over the other?
The Bugaboo is better for terrain since you have the option to push the larger wheels in the front. You could also buy rough terrain wheels for it. It also has a better capacity for storage, especially if you buy the mammoth bag. But the storage on the xplory is more easily accesible with the bassinet. Thats the one downside about the cameleon (i fixed that by just buying the buffalo basket and put it on the cameleon)
I liked how this video did a better comparison of the two strollers than your other comparison videos. I am in the market for a stroller for travel and I am in the common situation of having a 2 yr old and a newborn. I am trying to decide on a double umbrella stroller or a collapsible stroller like the babyzen yoyo or the new baby jogger city tour. Can you compare two double umbrella strollers that have recline? I like Uppa baby g-link but I have read that it's hard to steer.
Thanks Sailing Queen - I think this video came out well too (if I do say so myself) - we're getting better every time. Sure, I can do an UPPAbaby Glink vs Maclaren Twin Triumph comparison soon. Keep the requests coming, and thanks for watching. -Eli
Hi thanks for your useful videos. I have a more detailed question please. I have a spine fixation surgery due to a car accident I was involved in 2 years ago and I am now expecting my first child in 3 months. I need to purchase a stroller that is durable and lightweight as I live in a busy city and use public transport frequently. I am also a frequent traveler as my husband and I commute to each other due to living and working in separate countries. May you please suggest something that would suit my needs.
Sure. I'd be happy to. I'll try to get it done over the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, I did this video a couple of years ago. th-cam.com/video/zBDs7AIbvHg/w-d-xo.html Thanks Eli
Which car seat + stroller combo (or travel system) would you suggest for a first time parents, who plan to have a second child in 2-3 years? Bonus points if it accommodates both a 5'3" parent and a 6'3" parent.
Hey Alisha! Great questions. There are a number of strollers that convert from a single to a double. My favorite is the Bugaboo Donkey, and that would be perfect for partners of vastly different heights. It's quite expensive, but it's awesome. I'd also take a look at an UPPAbaby Vista. This is going be fantastic as a single stroller and comes with a bassinet, but then you can add a rumble seat to turn it into a double. Finally, a Baby Jogger City Select should be on the list. I think it pushes the least well of the three, but it is the most affordable. Take a look at our strollers here: mbeans.com/strollers and this blog post I wrote about buying single strollers that convert to double strollers mbeans.com/spillingthebeans/baby/strollers/4-reasons-to-choose-a-single-stroller-over-that-single-that-converts-to-a-double/ Finally, feel free to ask me more questions at questions@mbeans.com Thanks Eli
Hello Alisha! I think the best choice is the stokke crusi for you (if you want a stokke)! You can buy later a sibling seat, the older baby can use that. :) We have a crusi and we love it (before, we had an xplory, it was also great, but i love the crusi better).
Unfortunately, they are discontinuing the Stokke Crusi, but you need to check out this stroller I discovered yesterday. The Silver Cross Wava th-cam.com/video/r_cC__GIKWE/w-d-xo.html Eli
Hi I am pregnant and due in 2 weeks! I live in a city that mainly you go to shopping mall restaurants etc) so no urban living or Parks... I am going to eventually buy a yoyo for travelling after my baby is 6+ months However at the moment I can not decide between Bugaboo Cameleon 3 OR Stoke Xplory. As for stoke I love the design and that it is higher and you can use it as a chair when dining at restaurant etc but it is so difficult to fold it (tried both in the shop)... question: do I need to buy the bassinet for my new born or I can use the chair/bed it originally comes with? as far as the Bugaboo It its lighter and easier to assemble and fold, has a bassinet etc However it is VERY low + I am thinking eventually I will buy a yo yo as well so I don't need two short/low chair strollers However my husband is insisting Bugaboo is the best stroller Please HELP me choose :0 Thanks
HI Isa! The Buffalo doesn't convert to a double, but the Donkey does. I love the Bugaboo Donkey - it's a great choice. Here is my review of it. th-cam.com/video/AkAFvbooO20/w-d-xo.html Let me know if you have any questions (quesitons@mbeans.com), or if I can help you place your order at mbeans.com (we offer FREE Shipping and tax free on our strollers) Thanks for watching. Eli
Cecelia Nolan No. Not at all. I bought the Stokke Trailz even tho I had the Xplory already because it was horrible on other terrains then.. the mall, haha. I love everything about the Xplory, but for the main thing a stroller is made for, like walking with it - it is simply awful.
Thank you so much for the video! I'm planning on getting the xplory and wanted to see if you can post a video review or answer a question if cybex cloud q car seat would be a good match with it xplory (for the purpose of eliminating the need of a carrycot since cloud q can recline). Would it recline while attached to the stroler? Does it slide up and down? Would it be only forward facing or parent facing mode? Thank you in advance! There aren't a lot of recent Stokke xplory reviews or comparisons so this video is just hands down great!
Hey Silver Minecart! We're filming some more videos tonight, so we'll try to do a Cloud Q on an Xplory video tonight. But just to answer your question. Yes, the Cloud Q does attach and recline parent-facing on an Xpory when you use Maxi Cosi adapters. We hope you choose to buy your Xplory and Cloud Q from us at Magic Beans. If you live outside MA or CT you save the tax, we'll ship it all to you for FREE, and best of all, you know how to get in touch with me if there is ever an issue (questions@mbeans.com) Thanks Eli
mbeans.com I am also exploring using a reclinable Cybex car seat on an Xplory. We have little storage space so this would be as an alternative for the carry cot. I know the baby is supposed to lie flat the first six months, but can you make this switch earlier with the infant insert? Please make a 2017 Xplory review:) Thanks
Hi Tinulchik You can totally use the infant insert with the Xplory without the carrycot, and I think using the Cloud Q with an Xplory is a great alternative. There really isn't much of a functional difference between the 2017 and 2017 Xplory FWIW thought they did upgrade the wheels. Let me know if you have any more questions. questions@mbeans.com and we hope you choose to purchase your baby gear from us at Magic Beans - we'll ship for free and you save on Tax.
The seat is newborn compatible with the newborn wedge! I would wait until 3-6 months when your baby has better head control to put her in the seat with no newborn insert
Which car seat are you referring to? The Stokke Pipa does attach to Stokke strollers without the need for an adapter. Check it out: mbeans.com/stokke-pipa-car-seat.html
One question, I have old model of Stokke stoller, and I cant find one part, I probably I lost it. Now I cant find to buy it in my country. Bumper bar,its impossible to buy separatly for this old model. What can I do now?
Both strollers are infant car seat compatible. The Bugaboo Cameleon comes with bassinet fabric so your newborn can lay flat! You can purchase a Stokke bassinet with the Xplory as well, but it comes with the cost of the Cameleon.

Hi There! That sounds like the original Cameleon and not the plus. Quick question. To adjust the handlebar height. Is it a twisting mechanism or a clamping mechanism? Thanks Eli
HI Jessica! I used my Stokke Xplory with my kid from birth until more than 4 years old, so it's great for all ages of baby/toddler. Let us know if we can help you with you order. Thanks Eli

I had an old Xplory too - they did make some nice improvements, and I agree about the scoot. Thanks for watching. -Eli
mbeans.com could you do a comparison on the nuna mixx 2 and uppa baby Cruz 2017 ?
Ciao. Congratulations for you great job, super useful!!!
Would it be possible to have a review of New Stokke Xplory and New Bugaboo Fox. Thanks!!!

This is actually very helpful! I don't know which one to buy, i love both!
I'm so glad.

Hello, can you do a comparison between Stokke Trailz and the Bugaboo Buffalo? They are kind of the same class - all terrain.
Yes, Mike is working on that video. It should be up soon.
Thanks
Eli
what's the pro and cons compared this to Trailz?
hi i have almost three years old and newborn i m thinking to buy double stroller but My favorite is buggaboo buffalo Which stroller would you suggest

is the xplory any good for more difficult terrain?

Can you compare Stokke and Uppababy?
I love the look of the Stokke Crusi/Trailz but people tell me that the bugaboo will last longer. Is this true?
The suspension of the Bugaboo will last longer than the Stokke but it really depends on how you will use it!

Hi there. Your best bet is to contact Stokke customer service directly.
Which one of them suitable from 0 to age 3 ?
Both strollers are infant car seat compatible. The Bugaboo Cameleon comes with bassinet fabric so your newborn can lay flat! You can purchase a Stokke bassinet with the Xplory as well, but it comes with the cost of the Cameleon.
The Xplory comes with an infant insert as well.

Hi! Is the cybex cloud q (2in 1) compatible with xplory stokke? Thanks
Yes, the Cybex Cloud Q is compatible with the Stokke Xplory with Maxi Cosi adapters.
mbeans.com Thank you so much!!!Even in lying position ? The head of the baby is at the correct level ? Which car seat do you recommend me?
also how big is the seat height I have very tall children lol
If my cameleon is marked 2007 what model is it? I have been told the plus but am not sure
Hi There! That sounds like the original Cameleon and not the plus.
Quick question. To adjust the handlebar height. Is it a twisting mechanism or a clamping mechanism?
Thanks
Eli
Nope, if you have the twisting handle adjuster then you have the original Cameleon, and not the plus. Sorry for the delay.
Eli
is the stokke xplory a stroller that can be used for until your child is older or is it only while they are babies?

Hi. Great video. What are your thoughts on the Stokke shopping basket in the bottom? I'm not sure how I feel about that.
Hi there! It is not really that big so it is hard to put a lot of stuff in there
I just bought the stokke scoot stroller😂

I’m 150cm, living in Hong Kong, been thinking either to get bugaboo buffalo or Xplory, any suggestion? Thanks in advance.
Is there any added safety risks because the xplory is up high? Also is it sturdy?
Not at all. Yes, it's very sturdy.
