H is emotional but Wings for Marie is so deep that Maynard said he regretted letting everyone in that close to his feelings.

The Salival album which comes after AEnima (mostly live stuff) is not on Spotify, if you were planning to do any from that - as I'm sure others will agree the live version of PushIt (song from later on this album) & the cover of Led Zep's No Quarter are not to be missed.

This one is definitely on the introspective side of their stuff. If you dont mind me explaining, this song is thought to be about Maynard's son, and how his son's life, referred to as Maynard's "Blood" is now the new focus of Maynard's life, while the "Snake" is everything that he has to give up in exchange, like his vices, his anger, and his ego. Its definitely an emotional song, and I think it's perfect for that.

Before fear Innoculum came out I did a revisit on all of Tool's discography, I made my way all the way to Aenima before I got stuck on a song, had to listen to H. on repeat about 500 times before I could move on to the next

Because Maynard gets the music in a finished form before adding the lyrics he's hearing the emotion of the music first, like most of us do hearing a new Tool song, the lyrics and the analysing of them come later. Maynards mastery shows in the organic way that he is able to convey the emotion to fit the music, both lyrically and with his unique phrasing. Thanks for another stellar reaction, looking forward to your thoughts on the album in its entirety. ✌🤘🤘

I honestly think at the end of this journey, Third Eye and Disposition/Reflection/Triad are going to be your favorites. The panning and audio effects/sounds they use in those songs are indescribable. I’m loving the Tool journey man, keep spiraling 👍🏼

If you think the music alone elicits emotions, just wait until you dig into some of their lyrics. It's a damn emotional rollercoaster. Push It and 11 and Parabola and Jambi and Right in Two and Eulogy etc just about bring me to tears. Even without any emotions involved, the lyrics to 46 & 2 and Lateralus alone will open your third eye.

I'd love to see a new Tool upload real soon. I don't remember if you've done Hooker with a Penis yet but it's the next song on the Aenima album and it's a pretty angry track. Pretty fitting considering recent events but as tragic as it really is and continues to be I think there's definitely change coming soon, positive change. Not just another attempt to sweep it under the rug and to I'd love to participate in a little celebration(really not the best word I should choose) with the coming change with a listen of Tool with DramaSydE!

I just wanted to say I appreciate your channels. Your appreciation for good music from all types and your attention to detail is a breath of fresh air. I'm glad you're doing the whole discography " your way " as you put it, by going thru once for the music and again for the lyrics. Your engineer point of view really shines as your passion for it does as well. I can't wait until you get to breakdown the lyrics, by that point you will have heard a lot (all) of Tool's songs... but you will once again be blown away by Maynard's lyrics. And your interpretation of them I can't wait for. Very good stuff sir. Thank You.

I know this is coming very early but I really think it would enhance your Tool experience if you did a full album reaction to Lateralus once you get to it. That album as a whole is like a spiritual journey/awakening from start to end that flows so damn good. You can ask any diehard Tool fan on here and they will back me on this. I get it if it's not possible for whatever reason but it would be really awesome to watch. Peace!
