Yes he’s grateful. I would put a boxing clinic on Tommy. So the dad is grateful that the Fury’s get paid without having to fight real competition. He’s definitely not built for it. A amatuer boxer with 10 knockouts and over 20 wins would smoke both these bums in one night, as much as i like john fury for the character he is, he has to leave tommy, and he has to get another coach, tommy is overcooking the straight and cross which made him guilty of also hugging because he falls over his hips propelling him into the clinch, no combination punches behind the jab, no body work to open up the guard, both awful, im more impressed that ksi went the distance with a athlete that has over 20 boxing fights this bout is the reason so many fans have discredit boxing over the last 10 years

As much as he is portrayed as a clown, this breakdown was spot on. KSI don’t want to box he wanted that 1 shot and couldn’t land so he grabbed and Tommy fell into it and clinched with him, ref was dog water and should’ve split them sooner since he had knowledge already of how they don’t work in the clinch, JJs boxing knowledge showed a lot dipping the head a lot and complaining about back of the head shows his novice side. Absolutely lacklustre fight and both should be annoyed with each other and should rematch, at least the Jake vs Tommy fight has action

Ksi managed to average 76 hugs in TOTAL. Which adds up to an average of 13 hugs per round which is unheard of in any combat sports and is an OFFICIAL WORLD RECORD.

It pissed me off how dirty ksi fought. He would run into the clinch, then wait until Tommy put his hands in the air, signalling to the ref that he isn't punching, then he would punch him heavy inside the clinch. And he did that over and over again. Dirty.
And tommy wasnt cliching as well? Plus the back of the headshots😂
Tommy has a greater reach. He could have dominated the whole match by simply throwing jabs the whole match.... He chose to jumping into KSI every time to miss his big punch every time. JJ would move his head to avoid it , then their body were against each other. Tommy was also very often implementing a very common move in the clinch. Forcing his arms to his side, with JJ's hands under them. So JJ couldn't get his arms away from his back, and Tommy could keep hitting the inside. That's also a famous "dirty" move in a clinch.
Adding to that I've seen Mayweather in matches in more clinches. They want a record off 50 wins, he wasn't there to entertain the crowd like a circus.

It's actually embarrassing for KSI to think that he won, when he was literally trying to shove a desperate quick jab and hide right after under a clinch for 6 rounds.
You do realise his style has nothing to do with it he won that fight by doing his tactics well and Tommy seemed confused as to how to counter it JJ won that fight you can say what you want about how he fought but people use that as a excuse to ignore that Tommy was very lucky
He landed more significant shots, he won 3 rounds + the 1 point deduction for tommy which should have been at least 2 point deductions and you could argue KSI won 4 rounds

KSI lost the fight fair and square. If his trainer taught him jab-cross-hug instead of jab-cross-hook then that's not Tommy's fault. JJ was hugging for his life in the final 2 rounds. I think he's just mad that the judges didn't give him the fight despite being on his payroll. The commentary team did do an amazing job of being as biased as possible though. 👏

They both hugged for different reasons, your King Tommy just had a competitive fight... One of them is a pro boxer who boxes since 6 year old coming from a boxing family.. The other is a TH-camr who does music and boxing as a hobby.. Guess which is which.
clinching and winning the inside battle is a fundamental part of boxing and is a necessity when facing someone with a longer reach than you. There's a reason the result of this fight is as controversial as it is. "being on his payroll" 0 evidence to corroborate these claims and if he would've wanted to win through rigging the fight, it would've been easy. KSI's style completely turned off Tommy's ability to get into rhythm and set up any jabs, the plan by his coaches worked and Tommy has made a fool of himself by being practically beaten by a YT boxer.
The commentators were a hoot to listen to, worse than my friends over on the UFC table at times 😂

The judge who scored it a draw actually had it as 57-56 for tommy but he did the math wrong and put 57-57 it should’ve actually been a unanimous decision to tommy 🤣
Yeah I saw that score card that was quite funny but I laughed more that 2 judges gave Tommy round 2 which if they didn't it would of went to ksi and people call this guy a pro boxer when he was getting beat up by a TH-camr

John Fury is awesome, promotes fights like crazy when it’s not even his job, but then at the end gives props to everyone, even the people who didn’t box well, he still shows his respect and honors the fact that they even stepped in the ring.

I think the game plan on KSIs side was the right one. The only way to deal with Tommys reach and experience is to have some dirty clinch boxing. And I have to admit, KSI did better than I would've expected. I also understand the emotions and reaction after the fight. At the end of the entertainment is entertainment. I honestly thought ksi won... but I think the thing that put it in tommy's favour was the fact that he was goin forward whilst ksi kept goin back lookin for the counter, in boxing they sometimes value the fighter that moves forward and presses that's the only thing I can think of... in my head though I had it like 52% ksi 48% tommy I thought ksi did enough but thats boxing for you.

He didn’t hug, Tommy is very strong boxing at mid boxing range so KSIs game plan was to initiate from the outside and fall into the clinch. In the clinch he had better positioning and was able to land a lot more hard shots than Tommy did. There is a difference between clinching to survive and clinching with the intend to do damage. John knows that Tommy should have lost since that clinchwork is something that Tyson Fury uses to win fights. Sad that the underdog got robbed.

I like what John Fury said. Give these kids a chance, it is good for the sport, who cares if they are no pro, everyone knows that. Why bashing it? there is room for everyone.
