I agree about the tactics but I also do feel we lack quality in midifield and the wide areas. Our last championship team had Tella, zaroury, benson, barnes, matsen. Two now play champions league football! Not to mention harwood bellis who’s in the England team also
Lacking in quality doesn't excuse bad tactics. If we had Zaroury and Benson, they still wouldn't be putting crosses in from the wings to Barnes in the middle.
@ yes it’s a fair point. I have noticed we never see the wingers swap sides or much rotation of positions during the game, it all does seem a little stale.
I'm with you Mike- despite the terrible transfer window it's becoming obvious that the way we're playing is a feature, not a bug. I don't like the idea of sacking a manager who's got us 4th in November but I like the idea of watching this all season even less!
disagree that it was the only chance we created. We got in behind a few times and Vigoroux made some saves and even hooked one off the from the line corner. Harsh imo even if it needs to be better. Also it isn’t an excuse to use the transfer window in an argument, its a fact. This squad that was built 3 games into the season had no pre season together. We have the best defence in the league if not the EFL. It’s not exciting but since when did we get so entitled? Oh, and I wasn’t Kompany out last season 👍
Aside from the headers from two corners, I don't think in the game we actually had a shot from inside the penalty box. (Excepting the penalty, obviously.)
I'm with you 100% again Mike, it's turgid. I like Parker as a bloke but I couldn't care less if they pot him - we won't get promoted playing this way and the attendances will drop quickly because of the style of (or lack of) play.
It is down to Parker, his past history shows that this is how he sets up. Its the fault of who hired him. It's no surprise and I think he will be potted soon, the January window is what some are pinning their hopes on but where will the 20 goal a season striker be found ?
This really isn't Parker's fault. The successful spine of the team that could have had Burnley winning most games this season was sold in August and the replacements are nowhere near as good. Parker is most certainly not as capable a coach as Kompany, but the performance in the first two games indicated that version of the team was well coached and knew what to do. Pace and the board gambled with Burnley's future to gain £50 million and it's obvious to see the consequences of their decision. Maybe Van Nistlerooy would consider a move, now the mercenary scum at Old Trafford have dumped him, but there's no guarantee he could do any better.
He's had 13 games. We've scored 9 goals in them, two of them penalties. And we haven't looked like scoring more. This against five teams near the bottom of the division. We've conceded two perfectly good goals which the officials incorrectly ruled out which likely would have been winners. It's not the transfer business.

Totally agree Mike. It’s supposed to be entertainment for 90 minutes. That’s all we ask!

Well wouldn’t it be strange if we all had the same opinions/saw it the same way

You could have Erling Haaland up front, but we wouldn't be getting him the ball.
Where's Ekdal.. where's Jordan Bayer?
Bayer is out for the season, I believe. I don't know if he will ever play again.
Ekdal is apparently in early training.
@@SDPlissken .. thanks
Sadly as always I can't disagree with you..somethings got to give its like watching paint dry
If the tactics are so bad, what is the solution? Football should be entertainment not a dirge.
Tell Koleosho and Anthony that they are allowed to go to the byline for a start.
