The harmony at the end by wheein and hwasa "on this beautiful star, both of us shared the same dream. Where are we now" talks about their middle school friendship. How they both dreamed of being singers, and achieved that dream together
If you watch the documentary of WAWN, Moonbyul organized a retreat for themselves and in it, these events affected her the most. I really felt bad for her. IMO, Moonbyul is the soul of Mamamoo.
Yeah, definitely. She's the glue of the group. The bridge between cant-express-her-feelings exhausted-tiger-mom Yong and the kids (cant-express-her-feelings anxiety-ridden wheein and stubborn-seemingly-hard actually-a-soft-baby hyejin).
@@SylverReacts I have to give a Second vote for you to watch the WAWN Documentary. It really is worth it even if you know you will cry. They deserve the attention, they deserve the views. They made the doc so all the fans would know exactly how hard they have had it, from their own mouths (no guesswork like some of the fan channels do).
You are spot on abt the meaning of this song. They released this prior to their 7th anniv as a group, and 7th year in kpop groups in general is like a "curse" called 7 year jinx bec either groups disband on their 7th year (they don't renew contracts) or don't even reach 7th yr and just disband due to other factors. Glad both Mamamoo and Dreamcatcher broke the jinx ♥️
WAWN STILL makes me get tears. Some of us actually thought the group might break up because of all they had been through, the Seven Year Curse could have claimed them. The waiting to find out what they had decided to do had me on edge. But they are some of the hardest workers in the Entertainment sector. I should not have been surprised to find out they had Re-Signed. I was SO relieved! Looking back on the whole thing now, I feel really stupid for thinking like I had been. Even with them still together, I still get emotional over the song because it still COULD have been their goodbye.
I wish singing like that was as natural as breathing for me... Also, i absolutely miss sketchbook. Not just mamamoo on it but the entire show was incredible and tried to share so much music with a wider audience
I know moomoos have mixed feelings towards this album, but even when I was also afraid of their future back then, I really enjoyed it and it has a special place in my heart ❤
WAW is really underrated . My fav genre is ballad so Im loving all of the song that is in the album especially another day and wawn...but it deserve recognition bcs their ballad song is sooo gooddd
The program you watched live performance is called yu hyeuil’s sketchbook and let me tell you something about it. If you want to go to this program just like immortal songs 2 then you must be either be crazy popular or be crazy talented. But right after mamamoo debuted they were invited and after that just like immortal songs 2 they were invited frequently again and agin. They paved their own path with pure talent 😢😢❤❤
can you react to mamamoo performance of Sorry Sorry, Tell me,… it’s a medley performance of 2000s songs that they did right after the live performance of Where are we now in the same show (sketchbook)
As powerful and sentimental as the song is, that's still Mamamoo *standing on top of an RV*. So much could have gone wrong in a single crackhead moment. Instead they got real birds migrating in Hwasa's wide shots. Wheein and Hwasa at the end, sing together literally half their lives you can sound like that.
WaW is probably their best ballad. But, as others have said. This was right around contract renewal time. So, I personally don't listen to it much. There is a related documentary for WaW that has been shared here on YT. It's a good watch. But it might be a good patreon reaction. :) I think there is an actual audience for ItsLive. There is an ItsLive concert with Mamamoo for their "Mic On" EP.
WAW come out when their contract is coming to the end when wheein decided to leave RBW, so the song is like almost talking about the members itself. Nothing to be surprised by their vocals, amazing as usual. Yes there is a noise behind ( child voice). Sadly, they didn’t win any music awards for it. And a lot new generation group out, and can’t compete already, people love young blood more than quality.
Your interpretation is spot on. The background noise sounds like kids but imo it makes more sense if it's a recording of MMM as trainees, possibly pitched up. It sounds similar to the audio in one of the video clips shown during their performance of I Miss You on Queendom. WAWN didn't win on the music shows or pick up any year-end awards, which is a travesty of a mockery of a sham, as Woody would say. It barely cracked the top 100 on the weekly Gaon/Circle chart. Tho for some reason they've never dropped by to receive it, WAWN was my pick for 2021 SOTY for two reasons - it's a vocal masterpiece and I think the song has a 3rd level where these reflections on where they're at, where they're going and what it's all about apply to all idols, esp those who have been in the game a long time. This is one of those times where Mamamoo speaks for the whole community and becomes the heart and soul of kpop. I'll share my theory on a couple of the images in the MV. When they come together as we move towards the end of the song we see them from overhead in a formation that looks like an upside down and backwards 7 or an unfinished 4. As we know from Gogobebe and other songs MMM likes to play with number and word substitutions. I think they're saying 7 years have passed but the 4 of us aren't finished yet. I think the spotlights shining into the night sky in the next scene represent moomoos, who have always surrounded them with love and support and lifted them to stardom just like MMM has lifted our spirits to the heavens. 😂
I really like your interpretation of the imagery at the end and I totally agree! I don't understand how a song this good didn't win a single thing, it's criminal
the only thing i dont like about this song is that moonbyul sings a lot less than the others... it feels like we're back to the debut days. its sad to see her standing there

100% agree about being glad that they broke it! The 7 year curse seems to be over with most of my favorite groups seeming to dodge it recently

It's super powerful and I definitely could see it being way more emotional at the time of uncertainty it came out at.
@@SylverReacts Yeah. I am SO GLAD I was WRONG! (phew)! :)
MMM at it's best for me! 💯
Just pure vocal power, emotion, and talent! I agree this is pretty darn amazing!

I'm a sucker for a ballad, it's so good. I think I Miss You is still my favorite, but this one's up there for sure!
@@SylverReacts I'm hoping we can get more ballad from them

Bạn nhận xét thật sâu sắc, Mamamoo thật sự là một nhóm có rất nhiều điều để khám phá
Only *I Miss You* hits harder.
100% agree for full group songs, LMM comes pretty close too
im crying.
🥹🥲
This really is a pretty song ❤
It so is!

It's a shame that it didn't win anything, it definitely deserved it!
