4:15 When introduced, the car was named the Amason (with an 's'), deriving from the fierce female warriors of Greek mythology, the Amazons. German motorcycle manufacturer Kreidler had already registered the name, and the two companies agreed that Volvo could only plate the car domestically (i.e., within Sweden), modifying the spelling to Amazon. Subsequently, Volvo began its tri-digit nomenclature and the line became known as the 120 Series worldwide. So to see a plated Amazon outside the Nordic countries would be rare.
You started with my favourite car of all time with that P1800. I bought a book on them before I could even drive. An iconic car and think it still holds the record for the highest mileage car ever built at 3.2 MILLION MILES!.
@@kevinbray9550 iconic cars aren’t they? I reckon the Saint put them on the map after Jaguar allegedly turned down the opportunity to supply a car to the series.
👍😁 Some really interesting lineup of classic vehicles. A few ultra rare among them.. Hard to pick an overall favorite car...........

Thanks, I’ll remember that.. hopefully, I must buy an old BL colour chart!
You need to buy a book on flowers Simon 😂!. Mimosa is a yellow flower ( I can see where you took a wrong turn as Triumph used " Mimosa Yellow".
Sadly, gardening has somewhat passed me by, aside from cutting the lawn… at least that still involves a high revving Honda engine for me!
