Every bracelet needs a tool-less micro-adjust! What's the use of having a nice watch if it's not comfortable

And every watch should have quick release spring bars. Why these things arent standard on all watches doesnt make sense.

Currently searching for a bracelet replacement for my Omega 2538 great white. I hate the old speedy bracelet, you have any idea for a bracelet that can fit that won’t cost a fortune?

The new omega smpc bracelet has an excellent on the fly micro adjustment. You have to open the bracelet to push the adjustment but it’s super easy to do and doesn’t require taking off the watch. I do it all the time, even at a restaurant I can adjust the band discreetly without anyone noticing. I would never use a bracelet without this feature

Really enjoyed this video. I'd take the Oceanus over any of the others due to it's thinness and ease of adjustment, if it only had a couple more adjustment settings. In order to get a perfect fit, ANY clasp needs to cover the distance between the pins of a link of the bracelet. I'm surprised that most all manufacturers don't get this right, when it's so easy to do at the design stage. A watch with improper adjustment is a deal killer for me as was the case with the Oceanus OCW-S100-1AJF). Once you own a watch with proper on-the-fly adjustment, you're spoiled forevermore!

Definitely with you, I would prefer on the fly adjustment on every clasp although I’m not a big fan of the early slide dive style extension (I’m very furry and they always seem to rip hair out) and I hate the way a deployant clasp feels on the wrist. I have a tiny screw together pill type watch tool on all my keychains for the non on the fly micro adjusts.
My wrist does swell enough that even the Zelos clasp all the way extended will be a little tight when my wrist is swollen and a little loose fully retracted when it isn’t, it varies constantly throughout the day for me so I generally wear my bracelets pretty loose since I hate them tight.
That’s about a full link so I would guess that would be fairly uncommon for most people. I must have puffer fish DNA.
You’re right that Oceanus clasp is trick, I’d love to see Zelos (and others) incorporate that feature but so far the Zelos adjustment is my favorite (I don’t have a CW yet).
Leave it to Casio (da best!) to make it even better, do it Elshan!

Howdy from Nairobi! I recently emailed TMosso of the 1916 Watch Co., and also Teddy Baldessare to do a Masterclass on watch bracelets and clasps. Both have promised to drop something to this end in the near future. Now, I understand that these are huge establishments with tight schedules and plenty on their plate(s). OH,had I known, that you already beat them to the punch.
    Thanks, mister!

The Ginault clasp is almost a 1:1 copy of the Rolex Glidelock and works very well. The Chinese copies are not nearly as good and are not the same as Ginault. I would classify the Chinese copies more as complete junk.
The Formex clasps are made by Dexel SA, which is owned by the father of the Formex CEO. That same micro-adjust butterfly clasp is used by Montblanc on their GeoSphere, but in all metal, not plastic.
The ALS Odysseus is the best micro-adjust clasp that I have experienced as it's thin and can be adjusted on your wrist. It's not their design though. Exactly the same clasp is available on IWC and Glashutte Original models.
My views are based on actual Rolex, Ginault, MB, IWC, and GO models that I have owned.

Mido Ocean Star had a clasp that has on the fly microadjust, like the zelos hunk, but is much thinner. trade off is it”s much longer, to the point it covers nearly the width of my wrist. downside is also it’s 19mm width, not 18.

I believe some of the more expensive limited edition Oceanus pieces have a 3 hole micro adjust according to a video I watched on TH-cam showing the clasp. For reference the video is for the Oceanus OCW-T4000AWB-2AJF by the channel Man of Watch.

Microadjustment on the fly is great. Maybe the easy link is the most useful, while the very large clasps are the less useful.
For the butterfly clasps, I don't think that is necessary the micro-adjustment at least for the straps because you have the holespreciselyfor that, I have never needed such a thing. Butterfly with micro-adjustment for bracelets it's an absolutely yes.
